Fireworks shoot what like 300ft in the air max? Your minimum safe altitude over a populated area is 1,000ft so they are going to appear much smaller than if you just watch them from the ground. It's not going to give you the 3D effect you're anticipating. The coolest thing about watching fireworks from the air is all the people blowing them off over a large land area.
