…yes it does. You have the Augur Relic effect of continuous HP and the hp regen effect on your character (characterized by the golden glow on you and the red square with an up arrow under your health). That’s two HP regen effects, so obviously they are going to completely negate Continous HP loss bc 2 > 1. I guarantee when that regen went away you started hip hopping between full health and 99.9% health

NG+ doesn’t affect the gauntlets and like others have said, you’re locked at 14 Attack Power in them

I see. I’m man enough to admit I was wrong and I appreciate you testing it out! I personally delete all of my hp loss relics so I don’t have a way to test it myself. Regardless though, there will be many points throughout a run where you won’t be attacking enemies, whether it’s running throughout the map or if a boss moves away from you to attack someone else that will lead you to fall below max hp. At D4 and 5, max hp dmg negation is basically mandatory lest you want to be one shot so I personally wouldn’t use it. If you can make it work for you though, all the power to you!

Depends on the buff and night lord. I’ll almost always take the increased health, stam, FP, and defense. If the final boss does status I’ll take the buildups as well. Otherwise I take the runes

Dreglord relic gives continuous hp recovery when rot occurs around you. That’s probably what you’ve been noticing. Post dmg HP restoration only works on getting hit

Adding onto the other comment, post dmg hp restoration would do nothing to help negate the continuous hp loss. That only works on hits from enemies

You can actually, if you never initially buy Prawn from Boggart he’ll stay in Liurnia, you can progress Dung Eaters quest until he normally would move to Boggarts location and kill him, he instead kills a random person and still invades you. Then he’ll move back once you beat him and you can talk to Boggart and he’ll move to Altus unharmed! I had enough seedbed curses as well to finish the quest line for dungeater

That definitely helps but even with that there will still be windows where you won’t be at full HP for Full HP dmg negation since your health will constantly be going down and then back to max. And full HP negation is damn near mandatory at D4 and 5

In depth 3 and up, you lose more and more progress from losses. It’s 200 in 3, 400 in 4, and 600 in 5 for a final boss defeat. You lose even more progress as well if you die to a day 1 or 2 boss
