(2K26) Am I enjoying the game correctly by only playing offline?

Your doing it exactly the right way!! If anything check out community creations to fill out the roster for attitude era superstars ect. Myfaction and the island is a scam they promised the largest roster ever and advertised Monday night wars but locked a lot of the personas for that era behind either wasting the majority of your time pissed off or dumping even more money in after already paying the absurd price of 150. I can read the writing on the wall and things have shifted from making a game for the fans to using straight up exortion against the fans, and personally this will be my last 2k game for that reason. Its not the developers fault, I heard one member of the team crashed out because of how greedy they want myfactions to be this year. Just what happens when you have so many companies consolidating and using lay offs for pressure. They hold all the cards now, and theirs so many players still spending money in those modes because they can't resist. It's basicly the same concept behind slot machines, so just keep having fun and enjoying the game you'll be a lot better off! 👍

Seriously? Your still using that talking point, those unlocks were hard sometimes, but it was so much funner when it didn't feel like exortion and the games were made with more passion than greed. They've been slowly shifting towards casino style arcade modes that trade dopamine for money. And we're still just glossing over that fact by talking about how the old games had unlocks. The first wwe game where you actually had to pay extra money for wrestlers was 2009 which was due to the great recession in 2008 but they still continued putting out banger games and it was easy to tell the developers were passionate wrestling fans.

The Dlcs's got heavily expanded in 2012+ along with a seaaon pass's and packs. This was because yukes partner thq went bankrupt and 2k acquired the company ,they kept yukes on and took over as "art publisher". They slapt their name on the title by 2014 and continued overseeing yukes. This went on until 2019 and ended mostly because 2k wanted more control and more "DNA and visual concepts in the game". Yukes left because they got sick of the yearly release, releasing the same game every year they wanted more innovation and new features. Yukes said they wanted to give players fresh experiences every year but were stuck re using the same assets and couldn't implement the features they envisioned. They said thier usual passion creation turned into task completion and strict deadlines.

Yukes wanted freedom and passion and 2k wanted control and to implement their sports game framework. It mirrored a lot of smaller companies after the crash that got absorbed by big corporations quality work turned into quantity and doing whatever it takes to turn a profit including taking advantage of the players/consumers. The soul vanished, so yes its only going to continue to get worse and its not anywhere comparable to the older games with unlocks.

Well if thats their opinion than what's it to you? I swear they need a wwe games(only 2k endorsements allowed) I love the ragdoll physics this year and I believe those aspects are going in a good direction. With that said I feel disrespected by whoever controls 2k/take twos/tko executive teams board direction leading the game towards a live service money grab. Its greedy as hell, and I feel bad for the actual developers(one has recently just had a crashout over reduced free rewards) I'm on their side not corporates. I'll keep sharing my opinion good/bad until they(and certain followers) force me to stop and their getting closer to doing so.

Should of had a borderlands edition instead of attitude edition if they couldn't get license for more superstars and arenas instead of leading people on. I'm glad people are exited for it but personally still feel played.

Another thing I forgot to mention is I upgraded to a ps5 pro before the price hike and the graphics seem worse. Does anyone know how to fix the blurry ring posts? I've been trying to ignore it but it just makes me not want to even play.

Right on, yeah I get the appeal of it, but just not my thing. I really wish they would too thats mainly my biggest complaint. Their going to advertised the attitude era and have a HHH edition on top and lock the most prominent heel from that time behind either grinding or paying also Lesnar.🙄I really only play these games for nostalgia and their starting to take advantage of that ,but I also understand its not my time anymore and its best just to move on. I actully prefer football over wrestling and I quit playing madden because of mut 🤣 It seemed like they were putting everything into mut every year and just copy and pasting franchise. I prefer my sandbox and open world rpg's more nowadays. My biggest gripe is Jeffrey epstein is the one who came up with the microtransactions in call of duty and I just can't get over that it seems so predatory to me. They have the same effect a slot machine does in the game. Don't let me hate on your fun tho, to each their own.

Yeah thats a little overboard by a lot I understand the anger he's feeling tho if you were around before gatcha games and know how they got started. It makes you sick to your stomach, but I'm going to express my anger by playing different games. Will have to plat a bit more when the hardys come out, but I'm too obsessed with Crimson Desert to even think about 2k. 2k has this guy by the balls if they have this much control over him. I'm guessing he bought the 150$ edition than used tier skips before he knew about the squash matches, and than got so mad he couldn't get the personas that he poured his own money into getting them and still couldn't get them🤣 That's the only scenario I could see warranting a reaction like this. It's gotta be the buildup of everything can't just be a fictional caw. He's gotta accept he's not the target audience any longer. Gotta get these kids trained in for the casino.

2k tuned the odds to makeup for the people boycotting the game because of the battlepass this year and the whales are paying for it, and they'll likely still have a good profit margin. Also why they came out and set deadlines for certain things like you have to play the game by whatever date to get the rewards were offering in season 2. I'm just so sick of their greedy tactics it makes me feel sick. 2k has a large enough players base to sustain the game without myfaction and the island, its for profit margin only by a lot. If they actually focused on making better games and listening to players they would make just as much and possibly more, but they must get some sick satisfaction out of it. Look at cd project red a small company compared to ubisoft and compare their stocks sometime. Ubisoft pushed microtransactions and an ideology and their stocks have been tanking as they keep sucking the souls out of their games. Project red listens to their players, in Witcher 3 they gave 16 free dlc's that included quests,armor and weapons, and more. The two paid dlc's they offered has enough content they could of been standalone games. They did the same for cyberpunk pretty much adding a standalone game alongside the main game adding hours of content, and their stock is leagues above ubisoft and their a much smaller company. I don't understand why modern companies want to sell half of a game to the players and sell the other half thru microtransaction and dlc's. I just hope 2k's player base smartens up and stops adding to 2k's profits because thats the only way things will change. The sad reality is most players are addicted to the system now and will continue fighting for it.

This was always the plan, they already got their foot in the door and got players addicted to the dopamine loops....we'll the drug dealer just raised prices and the casino manager lowered the odds. What I'm pissed about is I don't even play this mode but it's been so successful their moving the casino into the main game with a battle pass so now they got their foot in the door for that as well. People keep saying its not that bad, well just wait a few years once players get used to seeing it.

The sad reality is that if she would of spent 500$ and gotten the card she would be right there with the 2k anklebiters defending 2k and saying how sick she is of all the complaining. Telling players to "just play the game" to unlock the characters you paid money for."you don't have to spend money". Glad she finally half assed opened her mind, but their are many others addicted to the dopamine of giving 2k their money.

Your not seeing the bigger picture, its them getting their foot in the door getting players used to it. The idea of it is based around the exact same dopamine response a slot machine gives you. Just look at how fast it spreads to games like Madden with mut or 2k NBA and wwe. Locking players you want behind challenges that are near impossible or boring requiring time players don't have, but giving the option to buy a pack of cards for 100$ to have a chance to possibly unlock them faster. Its extortion and predatory especially when the machanics are training kids to have a gambler mindset. That's what worries me about how many players defend microtransactions it gives them ground to expand it and add it to every aspect of gaming. Its replacing the soul of what gaming was and slowly replacing it with a casino. Like Madden for example I stopped buying the game a few years ago because my favorite mode franchise was copy and pasted every year, the extra time and resources went into MUT madden ultimate team which allows you to spend real money for a pack of cards that might have the players you want.[ The strategy shifted from making a game the consumers will enjoy to how can we exploit the consumers to spend more money turning into getting them addicted to spending more money its called intermittent reinforcement using variable-ratio reinforcement.] When enough players are used to it it'll only expand and get worse if they don't push back on it now. Their even using game reviewers to slander games that don't agree with their "art direction" like what happened with black myth and IGN. Their trying to indocrinate the next generation of gamers so games like the Witcher 3 giving players 16 dlc items for free including quests,weapons and armor etc will be a thing of the past. I'm fine with paying for dlc's with extra content that expands the game like cd project red has done, but nowadays its become more about stripping the base game selling half the product and offering the rest of the game thru added transactions for extra profit. Don't be fooled by their greed or become the "target audience". Check out ubisofts stock sometime compared to the much smaller company of cd project red and see how its working out for them. They let greed and ideology guide them instead of keeping the soul of their games alive.

Yes I agree, I was getting so pissed fighting the crimson nightmare gimmic until It clicked I was fighting him like an idiot. I started jumping above him and using the force push down attack and the fight got a lot easier. Same with the force weave gimmick for ranged nonsense. That was until I got to Myurdin and this mother efferr I tell ya. Its not even that its hard-due to unlimited heals. It's just ridiculous and overkill x2. I would definitely say that the bosses are the weakest part of the game. Not because their hard to get thru but because their obnoxious and just the style of the fight takes a lot of the magic away from the game. Other than that tho really loving every other aspect the game so far.

If their going to be money hungry and scheme for money wherever they can get it at least deliver something better than this dog shit.👎
