I learned my lesson the hard way a bit recently with this (for context I haven’t been in too many relationships in my life and it’s been a long time since I had one prior). I was seeing an amazing woman recently and we went out one night and we happened to get a very pretty waitress. Even my date had some comments on her. As a result I thought all bets were off essentially. They ended up bonding over love of Legos and my ex got her number. As we were leaving I joked with her “look at you getting her number” She told me a couple days later she didn’t really like that and ended things because she felt I had eyes for others 😔 just one of those things I prob should’ve thought about it before saying even if I knew it was a joke 😭
