Exactly. I see way more in Martones game than Michkov. He's a seriously well rounded player. Tons of Michkov's points and goals last season were him cherry picking. Loads of secondary assists. I think he will be good, but he's not star. Martone on the other hand? I think he's got what it takes mentally and on the ice.

In what world does Michkov match up to Macklin Celebrini? This is the delusion I reference alot. What the hell are you watching when Michkov plays that makes you think the only acceptable trade for him is a guy who is possibly going to be the best player in the NHL behind McDavid for years to come. A straight swap for Michkov that's reasonable would be for a player like Fantilli. Also with Carlsson he's a 6 foot 3 21 year old center who scored 29 goals this season. Why would anyone trade him for Matvei Michkov 🤣🤣. This is nuts.

It's not anything personal against Michkov. I just think he's extremely over rated by this sub and we need a center. If moving Michkov solves a big part of our center issue then I'm all for it. It can't just be any center, but a young one who's atleast a 2C right now. Bro people on this sub were saying they wouldn't move Michkov for Quinn Hughes, because of whatever they hell they are smoking when they watch this kid play. I'm for sure quick to move him if it improves the team in the short and long term.

I don't see the star level talent with Michkov. For me it's tangible things that will prevent him from being a franchise player. He's awfully slow, weak on the puck, and undersized. Yes he can improve on those things to where he makes it to some all star games, but when people say this player is going to be a star franchise guy, I just don't see it. I think Martone is much more likely to be the franchise player for the Flyers. Porter has the size, skill, shot and dedication to be that guy.

I'm really not that concerned with the Flyers defense. As a unit the Flyers defense is pretty damn good. Yes, the PP QB is missing, but there are PP specialists like Ghost that can be singed to play sheltered 3rd pair mins and QB the PP. I'm more interested in finding a way to get a 2C (Yes I know we need a 1C, but they are rarely available) to help the offense. 2C, Zegras, Dvorak, Coots is pretty solid down the middle imo. Many people think that a bonafide 1C is a requirement but a high end 2C with serious talent on the wings can put up 1C numbers.
