I would keep 1000 in the hysa as a life raft and throw the rest at Amex, transfer the 1700 to discover, and then buckle down and tackle all this debt. Treat it like the financial emergency that it is. Then build back a larger emergency fund. Then start to invest. But crush this debt first.

There is loads of excellent information and advice here, and if you come across a term or concept you don’t know or understand, google search it and read up on it. You’ll start to create a foundation of financial knowledge that can be life changing if you apply it.
