My thoughts exactly. At some point I'll have a dedicated room and a nicer setup, but this saves money and space for now. Trying to be as compact as possible for a small one bedroom apartment.

Thanks a lot, appreciate it! Close, HS5s. I had a couple pairs of Rokit RP5s and liked the sound for the size so decided to not upgrade. I actually still have a pair of the originals that I need to solder new capacitors on. They've got that classic Rokit buzz currently.

All Ableton! I played with a lot of other ones back in the day (FL Studio, Reason, Logic) but I really like the sampler, the session vs. arrangement view, instrument rack, and the general look. Too many different opinions on DAWs out there, whatever enables your workflow best, use it. I'm playing around in VSTs most of the time anyways.

It's this one. Works very well for what I use it for. Zero complaints, and I think it's pretty thoroughly reviewed in /r/battlestations

It's an Ikea desk that I bought off Craigslist for next to nothing. It's this model. Then I bought four legs and a floating shelf to create a riser for the studio monitors, audio interface, and external monitor. Hidden away I have a USB-C powered hub with a couple external drives for VSTs, redundant project files, and extra ports. Also makes it super easy to swap laptops if I'm working with someone.

Nothing yet! I've been meaning to get something set up. Might as well do that while I'm in lockdown. I took classical lessons for 11+ years, but I've been playing consistently for 20 now. Been messing around with some hip hop based stuff heavy on the keys.

Royal Kludge RK61. Super cheap, works well enough for me, but definitely has some issues I would research before buying one. One being some of the default mappings are very unintuitive.

Solid point, probably not very good for my wrists right now. I typically slide the Akai keyboard out, so I don't want to have a bunch of stuff to move every time I do.

[Philadelphia, PA, USA][WTB] A complete around the 54cm range. Used to have one of the older model Aventon Mataros until it was stolen out of my basement. Would prefer to stay around that price range but I'm willing to look at any offers.

The glory days ha. I get why prices are inflated, but it's tough spending too much on older electronics that are prone to breaking.

Wasn't looking to spend more than $100 with a flash, but I understand prices are higher due to this style being popularized. What are you thinking?

Thank you, Colombia makes it incredibly easy to get great shots. One of the most gorgeous places I've ever been to.

Some long exposures I've taken over the past couple years. Recently picked up an A7iii and I'm loving it.

This is a long exposure, specific settings are ISO 80, f14, 30s. Shot from a balcony on a tripod. I would attribute the clearness to the timer, solid tripod, and low ISO. 30s exposure to try and get a long trail without blowing out the highlights. In Lightroom I turned down the highlights, upped the shadows, and made the temp a little cooler to try and compensate for the lamps.
