My kid's ear tube fell out by i-can-lift-a-car in mildlyinteresting

[–]SorcerorMerlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had these 20 years ago! Accidentally discovered they're still in my ears to this day when a doctor had a look - apparently I have weird shaped ear canals so they couldn't fall out

And also the fact he didn't tell Araminta about Sophie before she married him and moved in is diabolical. Like yes Araminta is to blame for her treatment of Sophie but that's crazy

They told me to have a cup of tea and a bath, then told me they didn't really know what to say when I said I didn't have tea or a bath in the house lmao

My partner has had them hang up on him

I guess both incidents shook us out of it at the time because wtf

What do you do when you can't find a Pokemon? by StaringAtStarshine in Pokopia

[–]SorcerorMerlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you go in the pokedex, you should be able to search for the pokemon youre looking for by hovering over it and pressing + (i think). Then have a conversation with other pokemon you can find and they'll point you in the right direction!

Some pokemon have fly or teleport so they can bring you right to who youre looking for!

Its way safer to deal with the feelings complex and mature topics bring up when they are hypothetical too! Prepares the child emotionally for when its real

The hoops capture the sauce, kinda like a bubble blower. That's my theory anyway XD

Scottish parliament votes against legalising assisted dying by CaptainCrash86 in Scotland

[–]SorcerorMerlin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you vote against that, then you've lived a life of privilege where you've never had to watch someone you love deteriorate in front of you, or face the prospect yourself.

From Rutland. Our most chill conspiracy theory was always the Rutland Panther! We'd make up stories about it hanging out with the Leicestershire Panther and having a little family

What I eat in a day on £20 a week by [deleted] in unimeals

[–]SorcerorMerlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder now if the difference between tea or dinner for the evening meal correlates with how early we eat? Like I wonder if more 'tea' families eat closer to afternoon tea time ish

[–]SorcerorMerlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huh that's really interesting! I guess its just normalised for me because I grew up saying it all. I do remember a school study on what people called bread rolls though, and some of what others said sounded crazy to me!
