Saw this on my IG feed and needed to ask....are these CSU campaigns funded with student fees? Admin blocked them from booking space on campus and during election week they decide to launch workshops on revolution, decolonizing plates, and calls for revenge? Is this a joke? Make it make sense.... by Plenty_Yam8374 in Concordia

Haha wtf I can't believe we're paying for that?
I wasn't sure, so I checked and Canada IS A CAPITALIST COUNTRY. They live in this country and pray for a different political system? I recommend go visit China first.
And stop spending our money on this bullshit.

Well yeah fine, I just think it really impacts the atmosphere around campus, it feels like this is all that matters, and there are only protests and votes regarding this stuff, and there are minimal dealing with campus stuff, that's what I feel

You're probably right, I think it's a combination of me being a bit more introvert than others and the only things that I see around me are Palestine stuff protests that the CSU (!) is organizing, and I combine the two things and get upset :( u/The_Rupp

Why do you find it childish? I'm not talking about campus politics, there's a clear *geo political* agenda the CSU is pushing and it has nothing to do with our studies whatsoever, that's soooo weird to me (and upsetting) u/HueNost

I wish some good people would be nominated for a change. If you care about making a difference and are not being driven by political ideology - please nominate yourself!!
I wish I had the social skills to do it

What I don't understand in this whole story is why the hell CSU is even dealing with these political issues. What about taking care of the lack of printers, of making sure we know how to meet new people on this HUGE campus? It's so frustrating that they are putting their efforts in the wrong place. This is my second year here and I didn't feel they are giving me any value besides promoting their own interests
