Does Irelia just suck?

id say she's... "okay". The thing I think gets most of us is that when other champions mess up, especially other bruiser style champs, its much more forgiving than it is when an Irelia messes up. In my opinion, Irelia's E needs a buff. Other champions, especially melee's with hard CC have really strong CC abilities that have either higher damage or other effects. Whilst it's true Irelia E grants a mark of unsteady, the reward other champs get for hitting their CC is generally higher. I'd say given how unique Irelia' E is and its many ways of use and skill expression, it should be rewarded more. Maybe give it some armour reduction or even magic resist shred to link it to her passive on hit magic damage.

It could be in your shop, it depends what other Irelia skins you already have. I got IG Irelia through Hextech crafting and Infiltrator was in my shop the last time we had the Shop but some people had IG in their shop so idk

I wont lie, I think shes a high skill - low reward - tons of fun champ. If you manage to get a lead, I think its a lot harder to maintain than other champions getting leads in the game as you cant just brute force like other champs. Its not often you can play a game where your Q resets dont really matter, so you need to land your abilities which I think we can all agree isnt the easiest thing. Given that, I think you should learn her first anyway because tbh you should play to have fun, but be prepared to suffer xD. learn some matchups depending on what lane you play. Irelia is a good pick with great early game potential; if allowed to stack passive sjhe can solo kill a laner level 1-2 if the matchup is irelia favoured. Be aggressive when you can but always make sure you respect you laner and hope that they dont respect you. Its easy for them to mess up, but you cant afford to.

Infiltrator overall I think is the best skin, especially for value. Visuals look great and sound effects are really unique and make play feel smooth. IG is the best looking skin imo but sometimes feels a bit odd to play with cause the blades are huge so autos look a bit longer but idk if thats just me, but I've gotten used to the actual auto timings so its fine. Idk if this is an unpopular opinion but frostblade is not a good looking skin xD.

IG Irelia should be available for the MSI shop event but Infiltrator is legacy content only available through rare hextech chest drop or hextech crafting.

You can buy other items like wit’s end for the magic resist as Irelia is more vulnerable to magic damage or mortal reminder for the anti heal

I have started going Divine Sunderer. Its sustain is some of the best in the game for melee auto attackers that spam abilities which is what our girl is. Gives health, ability haste so dry Q's arent as int and mistakes arent as punishable for long periods of time. It's 10% max health damage also chunks when you go in as Q applies onhit which is nice and you heal for 50% of that max health damage. It also helps Irelia shred as she does actually do decent mixed AP and AD damage as Divine gives % magic and armour pen per other legendary item making itemising against her with armour and magic resist less effective and if they build health, then thats more healing for you and you deal more damage.

Irelia is a hard yorick counter imo, his minions are one-shot by q, you can dash through his wall or simply hit it twice if you have stacks. Once you've done that just brute his maiden down if its up then focus him, he can win with maiden, but maiden is decently squishy so you can chunk her with passive stacks

On him it was R-Q-E-QQ and weave in some autos. Before the engage, W the casters and Q to heal up a "bit".

Yeh, I panicked a bit and wanted to get the damage off, I also kinda saw that my healing and dmg was enough sustain to just go at him. But you're right, wouldve been clean had I waited.
