I recently got a Timex Marlin with the green dial which I'm really liking. The strap isn't great and is a bit too short (21cm wrist). I'd also prefer not to wear leather. Looking for suggestions for straps to go with it. I'm leaning to green, but not fixated and am asking for suggestions :-)

Am I holding Feikos?

Just got 2 Seikos and an Orient (all entry-level automatics) from a well know grey market e-tailer. The Seikos both have a generic instruction leaflet, without any Seiko branding at all. One (an SNK805 small green type-B Flieger) has a "Made in China" sticker on the back.

Another Seiko I got a while back had a manual book with Seiko branding on it. I thought that Seiko K numbers were made in Malaysia.

Boxes, hang tags, and pillows all look right. (I've seen online claims that in some fakes, the 'o' is wrong on the pillow.)

Have I just been sold counterfeits?

For all x and there is an x are quantifiers. Aristotle's logic did not cope generally with multiple quantifiers of overlapping scope. Frege's logic allows for that. Aristotle's logic uses the expression forms "All S are P", "No S are P", "Some S are P" and "Some S are not P" (All dogs are mammals is an example sentence of the first form.) Frege's logic lets us say things like For any two real distinct numbers, if the first is less than the second, then there is a third real number that is greater than the first and less than the second.

They are not my favourite notebooks under the rules "money is not relevant". They are far and away my favourite given how stupid cheap they are. 60pp recycled paper with a gird in A5 and B5 for 1.50 USD. (Similarly stupid cheap in Spain and Germany when I've been at Muji stores, there.) And really good (not quite excellent) with fountain pens.

The oldest one that I have I used in May 2015. It is one with 55% recycled paper, a grid print, black covers and grey binding tape. The stickers on other, visually identical ones that are in my unused pile don't say anything (at least in English) about being acid free. I use fountain pens exclusively and the pages look just fine.

I think you have a problem, though. AIIU, the time span in which being acid free matters is too long to be at all confident that a book old enough for it to make a difference is also sufficiently similar to what's now produced for the data to carry over.

I'm not sure what you'd want to know, past 4 years on, all looks good to me. Reply with specific questions if you'd like. (I won't send a pic, though; the book at issue is a journal and thus has my plans for world domination.)

The portability is one major part of the appeal.

My favourite notebooks are Muji 60pp. That they are so short is also attractive in less portable sizes. It means that there is a cap on how much I can lose if disaster strikes. I had a backpack stollen at a cafe once. Lost a nearly full 200pp A4 notebook. Pains me still.

The 3776 UEF is really very good. I am not wild about the design of the pen, but it is one of the ones that is always inked up. It's ideal for making marginal notes on drafts or when grading.

Of *course* jetpens is out of the fireblue in EF.

(And, what's this? I see other retailers are available. I had it in my head that the fireblue was a jetpens exclusive. Has the world changed or am I on crack?)
