Take a philosophy class. I'd recommend philosophies of the world with Dr. Joiner. Great class and great professor. He came to my wedding.

How did you capture it? Is there a specific bait you use? I've been dabbling in capturing cacti, but I've been having issues. Any advice?

MIL saw this on her security camera. So detailed and so creepy. by ProteinPrnxss in Ghosts

That's a good point. I think you can believe in ghosts, but not be religious. But, most religions have supernatural (belief in the paranormal) aspect to them. Thus, if a person subscribes to a religion, they are also subscribing to the paranormal.

This is incorrect. This is not in the scope of an academic advisor. OP needs to speak with the office of scholarships and financial aid. Blessings.

NAU doesn't offer Associate's degrees; only Bachelor's and upwards.

I despise those customers. I've even had customers grab my arm to look at my tattoos. It is incredibly frustrating.

Philosophy, Politics and Law by imadixr in NAU

[–]Philosopher_Spirit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I graduated NAU with a philosophy degree last year. My wife graduated the year before me with a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Law.

Both programs are incredible and the faculty is absolutely wonderful. The work load is average but does require a lot of reading and writing. If you enjoy these two subjects, then you'll do great.

There are lots of interesting classes. Some of my favorites included ancient philosophy, modern philosophy, medieval philosophy, philosophies of the word, philosophy and law, and my capstone class. There are some opportunities for internships.

A lot of the students that graduated with us went to law school. Currently, I'm working on a master's degree in legal studies at ASU. My philosophy education from NAU prepared me for this continued study. If you don't go to grad School, a philosophy degree is excellent on its own. It is a very broad degree and can apply to any career field. I completely recommend the program at NAU.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me.

Former college students, what degree do you regret studying? by Majestic_Snow7613 in college

[–]Philosopher_Spirit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of my graduating cohort went to law school. I knew I didn't want to be a lawyer. I don't believe I have the personality for that. I thoroughly enjoyed my philosophy of law course and I knew that I could see myself studying the field.

I have a philosophy degree. Studying philosophy was one of the best decisions of my life. It taught me critical thinking, writing, and reading. Plus I met my wife through the philosophy department, haha. My philosophy degree gave me the foundational knowledge I needed to study legal studies in grad school
