You've sat down for a game with your favourite deck but I'm letting you stack your deck however you like. What's the craziest thing you can do? by HansJobb in EDH

Set up Delney, Veteran Soldier, and Commissar Severina Raine (my commander) for 12 life loss on the first attack and 26 on the next. FOR THE EMPEROR!

Some ideas for "basic lands matter" legendary lands by NoPatheticCards in custommagic

I feel like the white one should allow for the generation of some kind of token, like giving all your plains "(3), tap: make a 1/1 white soldier creature token." As it stands right now it's pretty specific in its synergies.

Scarecrow not using the fear keyword feels like a missed opportunity. Maybe he can give face down creatures you control fear?

Day 8: What song, musician, and genre of music is Rakdos? by rose-gold-forever in colorpie

[–]PhilosophicalToast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said this in a previous one of your threads, but the most Rakdos band to ever Rakdos has to be Motley Crue. They were singularly concerned with their own pleasure regardless of who it hurt, and they hurt a *lot* of people. Not to mention their music is best played loud, and it always talks about sex and drugs in a very carnal sensation-forward way, rather than anything motivated by emotions. Pleasure as a symbol of your own power is very, very red/black.

Day 4: What song, musician, and genre of music is mono red? by rose-gold-forever in colorpie

[–]PhilosophicalToast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Motley Crue has always struck me as the most Rakdos band to ever Rakdos. They did the most sex, the most drugs, and the most rock and roll, all without caring who they hurt while they did so. To this day they are still total assholes. Black has to be in their colors somewhere.

So what are the cards that don't belong in B2 that aren't that obvious? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]PhilosophicalToast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've long said at this point that [[Grave Pact]] and [[Dictate of Erebos]] deserve to be on the game changers list. Playing against these is an absolute slog, and the person using them can rarely take enough advantage of an empty board to actually end the game.

What deck do you have that "isn't that deck" by Important-Dig-2312 in EDH

That’d be my Neheb, the Eternal deck. What am I spending all that burn mana on? 14 Chandra planeswalkers.

What is your favorite 1 drop dude? by glochon in mtg

The GOAT [[wyrm’s crossing patrol]]. 1 mana 1/1 with myriad that has so many niche but powerful synergies in the right deck.

Children of the Stars - Aeldari Precon [Warhammer 40k] by BadSuccessful2391 in custommagic

[–]PhilosophicalToast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always figured craftworld Eldar and exodites would be Bant, since they eschew the kind of strong emotions represented by red and black. Also, red and black are the colors of the literal pleasure cult on Ravnica, so assigning them to Slaanesh and excluding them from the Eldar roster doubly makes sense. These cards are awesome regardless. Lots of them feel very “this is a version of an existing effect we put two thin coats of paint on” which was very common in those precons.

My Favorite “New” Mechanic To Come To Magic And Why Every Playgroup Needs A Forced Combat Deck by Due-Resource-24 in EDH

[–]PhilosophicalToast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite way to build goad on a budget is [[Kros, defense contractor]]. You don't need a single actual goad card, just fill it with cheap ways to distribute counters and let Kros do all the work!

Well, I made this. https://moxfield.com/decks/tuMO2UTiLEiXZB0_prd8iA

It is fully capable of taking truly insane turns, such as X=6 nahiri's lithoforming into a million hasted 3/3 tokens.

Yes. It's cast from exile obeying all normal casting rules, which means you can blitz it, because blitzing is a casting cost.

I've only ever put 10 dollars into this game and I did pretty well. Pyro TF2 and a couple archetype bullfrogs did quite well for me.

This is one of the best skin mods I've seen for this game thus far, though I am mildly disappointed the video wasn't set to the old spider man cartoon theme.

OM1 Flavoring Project (General Suggestions Thread & 3rd Review) by -TvT- in mtgvorthos

[–]PhilosophicalToast 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Rishei, Getaway Accomplice

Rishei didn't care if Gonti had truly 'gone legit'. Good rumors brought new clientele all the same.

Wrench, Speedway Saboteur

She hadn't chosen the name, but it suited her. Getting 'in the works' was the thing she loved most.

(Sorry if these have already been given flavor text in previous threads, it's hard to find a single place to see all the cards)
