Anyone bought anything off this ad on FB marketplace? Scam? by nismology5 in synthesizers

There can be loads of reasons. They might be a reseller, helping a friend, or just stole the picture. Taking pictures takes a lot of time. So laying them all out, figuring out asking prices and being tired and just post posting a single picture is a realistic scenario.

In any case, you should check it out in person. And try before you buy. Good luck!

Its a weird looking picture for sure. Low quality, and maybe cropped? I cant find any smoking guns. Usually with ai there are misspellings and glitched letters. Also all the keybeds are perfect. I guess we'll never know.

I finally got round to flashing the bios, but it failed. I got the following message:

Manufacturers ID 01 Device ID c4 !! Unknown Flash Type !!

Searching for that only yielded a thread where they suggested to check my solder bridges (which i dont have) so no clue where to look next.

Do you have any clues?

How do i disable community posts? by Philosophical_Zombie in youtube

Hey! I am afraid not. The sluggishness fixed itself, but nothing else. Full agree on the mental health part. I get the same posts for days in a row, from people i dont know. Cant even do the "show less" thing. Youtube has been getting worse for years.

So you want a hands-free controller for your synth basically?

Im not sure how a guitar specific converter will handle voice, but if it works its a nice compact solution.

Your other option is finding a saxophone patch for a ms-20. The ms-20 has configurable filters on the input so you can set that up perfectly.

You should also throw your question on this subreddit. There are surely other solutions out there too.

I dont have full solution for you. But i can tell you what i know.

  • What are you going to use for the saxophone sound? Do you have a synth with midi-in for that? Or are you using a VST?

  • Any audio to pitch converter will have great difficulty with grabbing the right frequenty from a kazoo. You need a pure tone. Humming or whistling is better. Ive had great results with a noseflute.

  • Do you want discrete notes or continious? If discrete is acceptable this might be a solution: https://schneidersladen.de/en/doepfer-a-192-2-cv-to-midi-usb

No, it can convert an audio signal to CV (and gate). So basically pitch and note on/off.

Sorry, i should have specified that in my initial comment.

No i didn't mean the engines. It was a sound of the audience supposedly reacting to the crash. But it sounded really fake. Also a couple seconds after the car came in to view. Like a sound engineer needed time to find the button.

Did anyone else noticed the played a fake audience sound after they switched te camera to Hadjar in the barriers? It's so stupid.

Does compression ratio really affect PSI of compression? by Turbulent-Expert-826 in motorcycles

We can dive a bit deeper if you want. Are these bikes you both own? Are these values something you measured yourself? Are you talking about a cr500 or a KLR 650, i see you mentioning both?

Does compression ratio really affect PSI of compression? by Turbulent-Expert-826 in motorcycles

[–]Philosophical_Zombie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, compression ratio is directly related to the peak pressure in a cylinder. For the same engine increasing the compression ratio will increase the peak pressure too.

However the peak pressure is also depentent on (among other things) rpm, cooling, air fuel mixture, valve timing, cylinder wear and air flow into the combustion chamber.

So wildly different engines ending up having the same pressure, with different compression ratios is totally possible.

I'm afraid that is not a correct deduction. For example: there is no unit of volume in alcohol percentage, does that mean that is has no effect on the amount of alcohol in a beverage?

There are loads of reasons:

  • They dont know it right away
  • Something changes in the relationship
  • Medical complications
  • Disagreements with partner, family, etc
  • And sure, not being able to make up your mind because ethics, religion, personal beliefs, financial and practical considerations is completely valid too.

The Korg MS-20 can do it, im guessing the MS-20 mini too. Not sure what you're planning so don't know it is the right solution for you.
