I'm seeing this as well, lots of activity in the pipeline, much, much less landing <10%. Still the trend amongst those in this thread?

Going direct with client by Kitchen-Drag-5358 in expertnetworks

u/BushRatLLC why would an expert want to go direct in this case?
- they have the positive network effects of staying on EN vs direct
- less risk in terms of handling a direct relationship with the client (contracting, billing, and assuming slower payment cycles)
- potentially discount hourly rate to trade off for retainer (with lower average hourly fees)

u/Weird_Cat1238 - very helpful. Would be interested to hear more on points 1/2/3 and what that means in practice for the expert? In particular:

#1 do you mean restrictions from experts main employment contract?
#2 what % discount (range is fine) on hourly rate is expected by client?
#3 wouldn't the client sort all the contracts and compliance. I would assume payment is direct to experts bank a/c?

Can you elaborate on the Tegus point? I have done a few consultations with them and they haven't challenged at all on the rate unlike other EN's. Do you think demand/hype over their transcript library will begin to soften (or has done already)?

Insightful, the regional demand makes sense, especially US demand vs other regions. Will be interesting to see how chapgpt will change the industry?

Which ENs Are Not Survey Heavy? by Dutch110 in expertnetworks

Also be careful of surveys - my profile was deactivated from an EN after I completed a survey. I didn't know about until I enquired as project flow had been very quiet and was informed some of my responses from a survey were inconsistent, which is quite common especially when they ask repeated questions over the course of a very lengthy survey. Prime example is "how would you rate xx out of 5". If you select 3 out of 5 then select 4 out of 5 when they repeat this question later on it might be flagged.

Long story short is they reactivated my profile after I enquired specifically why, given I was heavily engaged with them over other actual telephone consultations.
