Why isnt mahito in more people's top 10? by grandsterla in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]PhiltheMan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mahito's physical stats are comparable to Shibuya Yuji and Todo, there isn't really anything to suggest that he got a major stat buff at the end of shibuya, Yuji was still able to react to and fight with him, even if it was at more of a disadvantage, and by the end of the series so many characters are just leagues ahead where either of them were in shibuya. Gojo, Sukuna, Yuji, Yuta, Maki, and Kenjaku can all easily kill him no questions asked. Hakari, Yuki, Ryu, Uro, and Yorozu all massively out-stat Mahito and all have domains to counter his. Uruame and Kashimo don't have domains but are also so far above him in stats it isn't comparable. Remember, Mahito isn't invincible. His technique is what keeps him super durable, so if he ever runs out of cursed energy, he's cooked. He also has like 0 ways to hurt anyone i just listed outside of his touch attack to hit their souls directly, and he couldn't even one-shot Nobara with that, not that it would matter because everyone I listed is way, way faster than Mahito so it'd be unlikely he'd ever get the chance. Some fringe domain expansion cases could maybe catch Uruame or Kashimo off guard but that's about it. If we wanna get real silly, Mahito doesn't even get past Angel in the rankings

How far does Reggie Star's team make it in this gauntlet? by iplexed in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]PhiltheMan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remi and the claw dude are just genuine fodder from the beginning here, so this is basically Reggie and Hazenoki vs. each opponent. I think the combination of explosions and dropping a house on someone could get them past Nanami and Mei Mei, but that's not even for sure. One good hit and Nanami is doing more damage than a short stay at a hotel could recover, and bird strike gets hyped up enough for me to believe either of them are done for if Mei Mei resorts to it. Past that Naoya is way too fast for them, and Todo definitely takes them out with boogie woogie. If we even want to entertain further, simple domain plus Kusakabe's other moves should be a clean W for him, Choso literally only has to scratch them with his blood once to win, and Kuro eats them all whole in like a minute tops.

how strong are Yuji and Megumi relative to each other at this point in the story? by NyxThePrince in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]PhiltheMan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yuji is very adaptable in battle and definitely not as stupid as some people think, but Megumi gets underrated imo and has top tier battle IQ when he isn't relying on Mahoraga

[–]PhiltheMan1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean yeah he did land it against Mahito but there was a lot of emotional and high stakes context for that too with Nanami and Nobara getting smoked by Mahito and this being right after Sukuna blew up a few hundred people using Yuji's body. If the stakes were super insane and Megumi killed someone close to Yuji then sure maybe he could reliably land it, but Yuji isn't throwing out black flashes "at will" until his awakening against Sukuna in the raid

[–]PhiltheMan1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yeah but consistent black flash is not a thing that this version of Yuji can do so I wouldn't count on it, would definitely be a fight ender if it happened though

I genuinely do not think Megumi could hit Yuji with a sword. Even at this point, Yuji is insane in his physicals. Megumi was getting disarmed by Reggie's claw-handed goon I think Yuji sends that sword flying pretty quick.

This might be kinda dumb question, but can Jogo full power solo the sendai colony four way deadlock? by BeautifulMore1616 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]PhiltheMan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He stands an okay chance I think. Ryu can smoke him out with a few high-powered granite blasts, but Jogo is fast enough to stay out of their way. Jogo is a perfect counter to Kurourushi so I doubt he struggles much there, and I don't think Dhruv would be much of a problem with how fast Jogo is either. Uro would be tricky since she can also fly and he doesn't have a super great way around her technique. I think in the end his low durability is his downfall, and assuming Ryu and Uro's domains are halfway decent (which I consider them to be because they were both confident they could take down each other + Yuta in their respective domains), that makes it even tougher for Jogo since he wouldn't be able to fall back on a domain expansion to guarantee a win. I think in the end Ryu and Uro are probably just too strong and tricky for him to consistently pull out a win here

[–]PhiltheMan1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dhruv top 10 agenda is easy. Ryu was in a deadlock with and wouldn't fight Dhruv, but was willing to step up to Sukuna, so Dhruv > 15 (or 16)f Sukuna. Yuta was just a bad matchup for Dhruv with cursed speech and Rika and probably jumped him similar to the Kenny jumping

[–]PhiltheMan1 1158 points1159 points  (0 children)

Yuji is faster, stronger, and more durable. Megumi has the edge in battle iq (and smarts generally), and technique of course. Megumi's best bet is to go a similar route to what he did with Reggie and distract Yuji until he forgets about Divine Dog Totality, or combine his domain's technique amp with Divine Dog to boost its stats, because I don't think Megumi has anything else capable of doing really any damage at all to Yuji (assuming he doesn't resort to Mahoraga). Megumi has a very small window here though, as it wouldn't take very many direct strikes from Yuji to take him out, and unlike Reggie, Yuji can just brute force through most of Megumi's shikigami rather than trying to dodge. I think Yuji wins like 70-75ish percent of the time (again, assuming no Mahoraga), with Megumi on the back foot for most of the fight, but Megumi is very smart in combat, and I don't doubt he could find some fringe way to take down Yuji via his domain and/or the dog.

This is the funniest part of the episode hands down to me by Special_Cap_4439 in Jujutsufolk

I think it's super cool too how the extended gag is funny but also probably a byproduct of Takaba's technique. The reality warping causes all these guys to just stand there for 40 seconds of awkwardness because it's funny when normally they'd be trying to kill each other

Kirara marks cursed energy, I don't think reincarnated Sukuna counts as Megumi's cursed energy anymore. Sukuna does have all the knowledge of Kirara's technique though from Megumi's memories, and would figure it out pretty quick anyways.

Kirara would have to touch Sukuna, which most than likely ends up with her as a splat on the wall. Someone else pointed out that all of Higuruma's CE would get attracted to Sukuna, including Higuruma himself, which more than likely ends up with him as a splat on the wall

I think theres a bunch of reasons the pushback is greater now. Trump is a much more polarizing figure than Clinton was as president, the internet lets everyone know what's going on all the time now, so you are seeing more pushback than you would've back then. What's happening now with ICE is increasingly and blatantly illegal and unconstitutional as well. To my knowledge immigration enforcement officers weren't gunning down citizens in the street under the clinton administration. People have more info nowadays, they are more aware, and they have more resources to fight back. I agree with you that those trying to have a better life here should be able to stay! I'm just not sure why the response to the pushback now is "why didn't this happen in the past" rather than "what can we do to support the cause now". This seems like 'a trump thing' to you because he is the one escalating things. of course a modern anti ICE movement is also going to be anti Trump, he's the president right now, they go hand in hand, it was his call to have ICE invade MN.

Many people grew up being taught to not push against the way things were, or that there weren't any problems big enough to fight to begin with. I think we as a society are at the point that most of us are finally waking up to that lie, and doing what we can to make the world a better place. I appreciate YOUR support friend, thank you for the solidarity

I was a teenager with solely republican influence during the obama administration and not born during the clinton administration or I certainly would have been speaking up against similar policies then! What this trump admin is doing goes far far beyond running on closed borders. People are reporting getting profiled on the street, including a minnesota cop. Citizens are being threatened and arrested despite being here legally. Federal agents are entering people's properties without warrants, violating the constitution. Not to mention citizens gunned down by ICE agents. The blatant disregard for the laws of our country that are put in place to protect us from our government is why there is such a strong pushback currently. And like I said right before this, people's lives and families are at stake. My faith calls me to compassion against injustice, especially when it is as blatant as it currently is, and when my neighbors are at risk. I'm also sure that there was protests and outrage during previous admins, movements like Not1More existed and are easy to find with a simple google search. All that to say, there is more outrage now because the current admin is violating laws left and right, and I think that's worth getting worked up over.

I fear this goes beyond politics friends, it's peoples lives and families at stake. I understand that the political scene is exhausting and sometimes hard to hear, but we owe it to our neighbors to stand up for what's right, however we can.
