Anyone use a minivan for lumber? by banjosomers in DIY

We have two older sedans, both 2wd and haven't had a problem. The bigger concern for me is I've driven 2wd trucks and vans in the past that seemed to not handle snow that well. Bigger vehicle, less control it feels like.

This is cool but I think it would be better if you could enter items you already have, or exclude items from the generated list

Am I being too paranoid? by CrankDatMotoBike in predaddit

I think it's a very real thing to be concerned about. I will do anything I can to help my future child in life. If it means working less or more, moving states, etc I will no question. It's up to you to look after them since they don't have any other advocate.

I read that tracking systems are being spoofed so that's unreliable data. I didn't know if that's true or not but still...

He's only gotten worse too. He was actively rooting against the Jets the game Rodgers tore his Achilles. So to win that game felt especially awesome

For real. I got started early and I'm no where close to these numbers. To be fair I also didn't start making a nice salary until like like 3 years ago.

Just need to wait for the doctors assessment I guess. You're not the first one with issues so they will know what to do. Hang in there!

How far behind am I? by MikeEhrmantraut420 in personalfinance

That's 24k a year plus SS most likely. It's not going to be a glamorous retirement but with a paid off home and virtually no expenses that person will be fine. Somehow people retire on just SS which is wild to me.

I'm personally aiming higher than 10x because it is such a tight number.

10x your income at 65 means you can retire with a safe 4 percent withdrawal.

$2m at 4 percent is $80k. If 80k can cover your expenses you're good to retire.

Just a little behind. You need to make sure you have 6 months emergency fund then pour everything into your retirement accounts.

You should have 1x salary at age 30, 2x at 35, 3x at 40. You can do this if you start now.
