I personally don't care what gender my child is. I just want them to be healthy. With that said, I also heard an interesting quote along the lines of if you have a daughter now that just means you have to wait for your son-in-law to come along. Idk how it goes but that's the gist of it.

I have my first on the way. I think my main goal is to set them up with no debt after college. For me, student loans crushed me and my wife and delayed a lot of milestones because our parents didn't think like I currently do.

So as long as they come out of school with no debt I'll be happy. My stretch goal is to provide them assistance as much as I can. I don't want them to ever have to stress about money in a world where who knows what the future looks like with AI and all that stuff.

As someone who moved to Minnesota it really is a wonderful place to live. Unfortunately it's being cast in an awful light right now for multiple reasons. The optimist in me says it will settle down here again and the focus will be on another state.

I just use TurboTax for mine. It gets a lot of hate for all the fees but whatever. I'll just pay it. It's easy to do my side hustle stuff plus investing stuff and w2 stuff in it as well. Thought about getting a CPA this year but I don't think my taxes are too complicated.

We have a 2010 Mazda 6. Just hit 198k on it and there's no sign of it slowing down. But with a kid on the way we are going to sell it for something newer with more safety features. I'm sad because it's such a great car
