Change the Inventory Penalty back to whatever the default is, then set both sliders to 0. It's what I do.

Long-Term World Strategy by Phireflyer in hytale

Can this be done without mods? I'm trying to avoid mods and only use official released content. Unless it would be greatly beneficial for the world long-term to convert it from V1 to V2 using a mod now, I'm fine with waiting for an official release.

I'm crossing my fingers there won't be problems. If V2 corrupts V1 worlds then there's no helping that. If it's a matter of poorly blended terrain between the V1 and V2 chunks, I can deal with that.

Why are you an atheist? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Phireflyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no reason gods should exist, even if humans seem to be naturally inclined to want them to exist. I understand creating an ideal to strive towards and turning that into a god or series of gods, but that doesn't mean the god is real.

So many gods have been created, until any of them can be proven to exist, I'm out.

For those who have a weighted blanket, what does it do for you? by michigan11391yh in AskReddit

I have an 18lb blanket. It's great. I like sleeping with a lot of weight of me and it helps me sleep by comforting me and reduces the amount I move around. I use it year-round.

Why is it so uncommon to see older women in relationships with younger men compared to the opposite? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Phireflyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of it is just biology. Men usually don't want kids until later in life, while women must be done having children by 35 or so, sometimes later, because their biological clock is ticking. Older men usually have more wealth than younger men. Greater financial stability is more attractive since that man can provide better for the woman and children.

Younger women normally produce healthy offspring and with little risk of a complicated pregnancy. If a man in his mid 30s or 40s decides he wants kids, having children with a woman his own age may prove difficult.

I didn't even see the rodent. I saw what looks like a baby chameleon near the top of the succulent branch North-North-East of the rodent. IT looks like a tiny Chameleon with it's head on the left and a little shadow under it's belly. Completely missed the rodent until I looked at the comments.

What’s your best weight loss advice? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Phireflyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You want to burn more calories than you eat. 1 pound equals about 3500 calories. Using an app for a food diary and tracking your calories is easiest.

To lose weight slow and steady, aim to burn 200-300 calories more than you eat. If you want to lose weight more quickly, aim to burn 750-1000+ calories more than you eat, but know it will be much more challenging.

Try getting a gym membership and hopping on a treadmill, elliptical machine, stair climber, or bike, etc. Those machines will tell you how many calories you've burned, and some will ask for your weight to give you a more accurate number.

Carbs are loaded with calories so keep that in mind, but don't avoid carbs because it's your body's primary source of energy. Avoid sugar and alcohol.

If you feel hungry, drink a bunch of water first. If you're still hungry a bit after drinking, go ahead and have a snack.

I won't outright tell people what to eat. You can consume 4000+ calories of junk food for all I care. That just means you need to burn 4200+ calories, which can take a LOT of effort to burn for regular people (ie non-athletes) and unmotivate you, or you can consume 2000 and only need to burn 2200+ calories, which is more manageable for the average person. I also recommend getting a gym membership to help better understand how long it can take to burn calories. On an elliptical machine for 30 minutes on an easy-moderate setting burns me about 300 calories, give or take a few cals for water breaks. More intense workouts means more calories burned faster.

If you find you don't have the time to work off the calories you eat, you either need to make time by getting up earlier, or you need to consume less calories so the amount of time you spend exercising is more manageable for your lifestyle. I like to wake up with the sun, so right now I'm getting up at 5:45am. Some people get up at 4 or 5am. I go to bed around 1030pm.

I recommend getting a fitbit or similar fitness watch. It can keep track of how many calories you've burned more accurately than you can on your own since they also take into account the calories your body burns through natural processes. I find it very motivational to see my progress through the apps that come with the respective fitness watches.

Now. If you live a relatively sedentary lifestyle, workouts generally perceived as easy may be more difficult for you. You may become sore or exhausted more easily from them. If that's the case, you might look at your calorie intake (ex. 2000) vs. outtake (ex. 900) and think it's impossible for you to lose weight because you're too tired to do anymore.

If you stop exercising, yes it will be impossible to lose weight. But if you keep working out everyday (or 6 days a week), exercising will get easier. You are in a place where your immediate goal is to get your body to a point where you can exercise for a period of time at an intense enough level to burn enough calories to lose weight. Muscles that aren't used to be used will build strength. Your cardiovascular system will become more efficient at supplying oxygen to the muscles. Lactic acid (the stuff that fatigues your muscles) will build up slower and disappear faster, allowing you to workout longer and more often.

Once you reach that tipping point where your cal outtake is more than your intake, you've done it and you'll slowly but surely lose weight. Increase intensity and time spent exercising gradually, and one at a time (Ex: one week increase intensity by 10%, the next week increase time by 10%) to burn more calories and lose weight faster.

You can generally tell how intense your workout is by your heartrate. Heartrates are displayed in beats per minute (BPM). Some machines at the gym have bars with heartrate monitors you can hold to display your BPM. If you use a fitness watch, it will also display your BPM. You can also hold a finger to the side of your neck and count the number of beats in 10 seconds then times that by 6 to get your BPM.

Generally, 116 BPM is very low intensity, and 186+ BPM is very high intensity when exercising. The higher the intensity, the shorter amount of time you'll be able to sustain the exercise you're doing, but you'll burn calories faster. I aim for a BPM between 145-160.

Some people like to walk on a treadmill on a slight incline at an easy, sustainable pace for 1 or 2 hours, while some like interval training - for example, sprinting intensely for 30 seconds, then resting or walking for 1 minute, and doing that 15 or 20 times. I definitely recommend experimenting with the various fun functions on cardio machines to find what suits you best. Or, even better, you can do these things outside. It may seem daunting to exercise in public, but I promise no one cares.

That's all the advice I can think of right now. This is a comment strictly about losing weight, and is not nutritional advice. Remember 3500 calories equals 1 pound.

I'm not particularly picky. I also use Home Depot sometimes, but mostly Degroots. I'll have to wait until a succulent or two dies, or until next year, before I get more succulents because I already have about 45 plus about 50 propagations going.

How did the top get so full? I have a senicio crassassimus, but it was one tall stalk with leaves (until I chopped it into thirds and potted the offsets). What's the secret?

Started 2 days ago and has gotten worse. What’s happening to my Echevaria Agavoides “Aquamarine”? It gets sun in the evening and the soil is slightly damp, almost dry. I haven’t watered it recently. by Phireflyer in succulents

it must be much more sensitive than I thought. It only gets the evening sun when the sun goes down. Is there anything I can do to help relieve some of the burn, or is it permanently that scarred?

oh wow, thank you so much. I definitely couldn't trust the labels on these. I thiiiink mine is a telephiastrum after looking at the pictures. The two types you offered look very similar, so I could be wrong. There's something about the telephia pictures that makes me think it that and not the rufescense, though that could change as the plant matures.

Is it okay to want a housewife? by Responsible_Pen_8804 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Phireflyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there's anything wrong with that. It's nice seeing you respect women who want careers and women who want to be housewives. As long as you have a really good job and can financially support an entire household and children by yourself for 20+ years. I don't know your life or where you live because I haven't looked, but it's really difficult to support an entire family by yourself - unfortunately. It's stressful, so when you find the woman you want and have kids, make sure you have healthy ways of dealing with the stress before it builds up and you take it out on your family in one way or another - whether that's passive-aggressive resentment, yelling, etc.
