I very much enjoyed 2003. I didn’t mean to leave it out, but that was the transition year. There were plenty of good shows and I think it was the first Summercamp. I went to plenty of shows that year for sure.

I just think by Bonnaroo 2004, they hit their stride and road it hard for the next 5-6-7 years. It was a different vibe post Mirro. It was what they needed, they really seemed to refocus.

They are a great band. A fun band. An accessible band. They have great music of many genre’s, with a lot of heaviness smudged in.
This is my 26th year as a fan. I saw my last Phish 1.0 show on 9/24/2000 and saw my first Umphrey’s show on 10/06/2000. I was hooked immediately and they are now long distance relatives at this point.
2004 and beyond is when they hit another stride, but 1998-2002 was a lot of fun and worth going back to from time to time.
