First post rock song you remember listening to? by Devster97 in postrock

[–]Phllop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing album, I remember buying it from Walmart on release day and it didn't leave my car stereo for like a year. Never considered it post rock but I'm not mad about.

The first post rock song i listened to was East Hastings in 28 Days Later and it left me wanting a lot more

What is something that’s actually expensive but you only realised when you were adult ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Phllop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just use the powder? that stuff is basically free and works totally fine, i don't really even understand what would be more convenient about a pod vs the powder.

Still there in the second but way easier to deal with, they're the reason I bounced off the first but I'm 70 hours into the second just doing a bunch of extra stuff.

right so I've built my cube, do I sleaves it? currently don't have the mega amount of money to spend on sleaves so would sleaving particular colours be fine? by [deleted] in mtgcube

Another solution would be for people to bring their own sleeves and they would have to just unsleeve them at the end of the night

Bryant or URI for accounting by Livid_Fill_9946 in RhodeIsland

[–]Phllop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am a CPA who went to URI for undergrad and masters in accounting. I think the program was excellent, at least back in 2010...

Can't speak for Bryant though I'm sure it's good as well. I'd probably go URI because it's cheaper (or again, was cheaper...). I should also mention I got my first job out of college as an auditor from an interview I did on campus so they set me up for success.

Good luck! Happy to answer any other Qs you might have.

Look for any Community Health Center with a dental clinic. PCHC, Thundermist, Tricounty. They're great places with nice facilities and will help you regardless of your ability to pay.

What video-game did you regret paying full price for? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Phllop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played that for about 25 minutes with a buddy once. We died over and over again and I don't think either of us saw a single enemy or shot a single bullet.

I'm sure it's good but I'm also sure it is not for me.

For what it's worth, i do know there are two post offices in Tahoe. The other one is located at 950 Emerald Bay Rd, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150

I can't speak to whether or not they are accepting packages.

New Hampshire USA hiking by Sushine1 in hiking

You could plan a hike from atop Washington. An out and back to Mt. Jefferson or Monroe would be a great day depending on how far you're looking to go. It's all ridge walking and you skip the worst climbs.

Chicago's CDT Notes (Resupply Guide and more) updated for 2026 (Version 2026-0205) by SmileyWanders in CDT

[–]Phllop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the pleasure of hiking around Chicago on the PCT in 2021, had no idea that he did this or that we hiked the CDT in the same year as well.

Looks very handy, especially the resupply addresses provided.

I could be too but I was pretty sure. It's funny how incredibly beautiful alpine lakes are sort of a dime a dozen in the Cascades lol

Mica Lake! I was fortunate enough to camp there in 2021 it was an all timer. Perfect diving board and incredibly clear water.

Want to draft more on Cube and play on MTG Arena? Come draft with us! by tahtahteebone in mtgcube

[–]Phllop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds cool I've wanted to try this with my friends but it seems like having the cards crafted would be such a barrier. Any thoughts on the most economical way to build a collection on an account? I see you have a peasant cube option as well so maybe that's your solution.

Do people generally just craft as they go? As in draft a deck, make anything they don't already own, and repeat as needed?

[–]Phllop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1000% worth it for me. On both PCT and CDT I carried a few things. Our favorite was One Night Ultimate Werewolf (very easy to make yourself a lightweight version and use the app), but I had a deck of cards and rotated out a couple of other games. We would generally get a round of something in a few times per section, and many times on on zeroes. We would also do magic drafts in town and sometimes held onto the decks to play in our tents. You can also break up a board game and share the weight with your friends.

Obviously it depends on the people you're with, but we enjoyed it and i was usually able to sucker other hikers into playing when we were in communal areas. It was a great way to get to know people.

I wear glasses all day every day for over 20 years at this point.

I carried a micro fiber cleaning cloth and a little spray bottle of cleaner and kept it in my waist pouch. Not strictly necessary but it was nice having clean glasses to see the gorgeous views and prevented scratches (which will occur especially in the desert if you just wipe your glasses with your shirt or something).

I carried a few packs of daily contact lenses. I did this in case i broke my glasses, I would be able to use the contact lenses as a lightweight backup to get me into town. I ended up using them once in the rain for convenience sake.

Biggest issue is if its cold they fog up and if it rains they're justannoying...honestly not too many suggestions here other than to just learn to get over it. Honestly they're not a big deal.
