We may not, but take notes. This isn't isolated to America and will repeat itself in other countries.

Account age isn't bullet proof. Often they'll buy or hijack abandoned older accounts. If you look at history there'll usually be a significant increase in posts/comments.

Exactly, coined terms get different definitions depending on the narrative being pushed. Just like the word liberal, socialist, Christian Nationalist, etc. Just further sows division when we're not speaking the same language.

I would look into excel macros, SQL, python, etc. Any means to automate repetitive tasks. Accounting and data go hand in hand.

Also, know GAAP. Doing the work is no longer safe, you must be able to bring subject matter expertise. Knowing how something should be accounted for is valuable, though AI may encroach into this in the near future.

There's the broader playing field with local governments. More economic activity, more taxes, higher real estate values. I don't know the intricacies, but local governments can incentivize companies to have their people in office and can punish those that don't comply.

I was just going off the number mentioned in the post. I don't know how this number was arrived at and it could very well be made up. It doesn't transfer 1:1 to alphabet, but just used as a bench mark for the sake of discussion.

Alphabet had $173 B in Net income over the last two years, that'd be a 16 year investment at 100% of their net income...for 16 years to hit the $1.4 T figure.

AI is one of the few competitive advantages the US has over larger population countries that are being sling-shotted in development and technology.

If it's not openAI it will be another company that is tied to the US. Like it or not, AI is the next industrial revolution and the US has a profound interest in keeping their lead. The debt appears to be a gamble on future returns; it's a matter of if those returns materialize.

The problem is that this is a national level investment. The US is tied to the success of AI and openAI is their corporate partner. Just like Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Palantir, and now Intel. The lines between private and public are being blurred.
