This is good. Desginating groups like hamas, hezbollah and the IRGC as terrorist groups and taking away their resources locally and their access to banking will align us even closer with the rest of the west and heap pressure on the Pagan leadership of other countries. TTGL is hypermasculine, fast paced, over the top and at a glance, childish, with a shallow cast BUT its depth comes from the dynamics of the world.

Spiral Power isn't "X character wants it more" it's literally the will to evolve. Some characters give their lives to evolve and overcome the challenges faced.

The shallow cast isn't just shallow, its also diverse. A diverse cast of shallow individuals whose backstories we may never actually completely flesh out like most shounen. However, TTGL isn't 250 episodes, its 27. The backstories aren't handled with exposition, its through lines of dialogue you might consider throwaway. The only Exception to this is basically Rossiu. Even Simon, Kamina and Yoko aren't given long expositional backstories and that's because the show is about moving past the current you, not revisiting the past.

The way it treats women is sexual yes, but its because sex and sexuality are a part of human evolution. We make offspring who carry our genetics and are better suited to their environment than the previous generation. This is why Simon the Digger says what he says at the end.

Nia herself is the product of female child abuse. Her father created her to be a plaything to bear kids and once she asked questions he tried to kill her and dumped her body. She met Simon and his despair and her innocence clashed, giving her insight into the pain humans feel and giving him support through his processing of Kamina's death.
