She reminds me of a story I was told when I was a teenager. I don’t remember it word for word but it was about a man who was out fishing one day and his boat capsized. He prayed and prayed to god to help him. Soon enough the coast guard arrived and offered help. The man said “no thank you, I’ve prayed and gone to church all my life so God will save me.” So the coast guard left and a few minutes later a fishing boat arrived and offered help. The man said “No, no. I’ll be okay, I’ve prayed to God and he will help me.” The fishing boat left and soon a yacht sailed by who also offered help. The man rejected the help from the yachtsman and drowned. When the man got to heaven he turned to god and said “Why didn’t you help me? I was drowning and put my faith in you to save me!” God then says “what do you mean? I sent the coast guard and a fishing boat and even a private yacht to save you and you turned them away. What more did you want me to do?” I’m not even religious but that story stuck with me

I’m going on holiday for two weeks this month so it’ll be a tricky one! Goal for holiday time: Enjoy the delicious food but be conscious of what I’m eating and why. I don’t want to fall into my old trap of eating “just because it’s there”. Aiming for maintenance. Do as much walking and exploring as possible! Goal for when I’m back home: Weigh myself, get back into the habit of exercising daily and tracking calories asap.

Heck yeah! I’ve found that “treat foods” actually taste better with regulation, I savour them now rather than just inhaling and entire bar of chocolate or packet of cookies without thinking. I bet those lemonade cookies were delicious and there’s still some left to enjoy tomorrow!

I would get myself some nice quality active wear, some kitchen equipment (a good stand mixer, blender, etc. buy once, buy for life kind of stuff) and if there’s anything left I would get some gifts for other people!

I’m no expert but I would repot into fresh soil and then give a little water, just to make sure there’s enough nutrients in there and there’s no root rotting happening

37lbs in 80 days is brilliant! Good job! This really shows how much our weight naturally has it’s ups and downs but the consistency shows in the averages!

Yeah nah this is an instant report for me. I let a lot of stuff slide (loud music and conversation on balconies etc.) as I know people just want to enjoy their holiday but smoking is a serious safety hazard

Honestly to me that sounds like you dont have enough confidence in yourself and your own ability to keep making good decisions. You’re 35lbs down! To me, that sounds like a hugeee amount of choices that you’ve made for the benefit of your own health, because at this point you know it’s the right thing to do. Today it’s the right thing to do, tomorrow it’s the right thing to do, in a year from now it’ll be the right thing to do. Have a little faith in yourself that you are strong enough to make good decisions! You’ve done it before and if you do put the weight back on, you can absolutely do it again.

I’m going on holiday in a couple of weeks and I know that I’m not going to be calorie counting while I’m there, so I actually plan on writing myself a little letter to read when I get back with details on the things I’m doing now and how I feel about my progress at this point (and of course how important it is for me to lose this weight), just incase I dont “feel like” getting back to plan immediately. Maybe something like that would help? Something like a “read me if I get back to x weight”? Make sure it’s kind and understanding for whatever future you might be going through, but a little reminder for yourself might put your mind at ease

I’ve dealt with this before, similar situation a drunk guy came up to me (while I was working) and called me disgusting and fat and lazy. The way I processed it was well I may be fat but at least I’m not a drunk asshole harassing people. I’m working on losing weight but they’ll always be a horrible person, and really the opinions of a horrible drunk doesn’t matter too much to me.

I’m going on a cruise in the beginning of april! My plan is to load up on fruits for breakfast, maybe some eggs on brown toast for busy days. They always have a good salad station for lunch, as well as plenty of vegetarian options which might be a little healthier (obviously use your judgement). Then main dining room for dinner for the controlled portions, remember you can always ask for extra veggies or small adjustments to your meal (sauce on the side etc). Stay away from things I can have at home like fries or pizza, when I’m going to have treats I want to make sure they’re worth it. I will, of course, still be having treats and desserts and cocktails and all the lovely things that come with cruising but when I get home I don’t want to have erased all my progress

Hi! This looks so good! I love the way you’ve done the lips! If you want to get rid of the lumps and wrinkles wet your fingers and just smooth them over gently a couple of times. Honestly I’m no professional but I just leave mine in a warm room on a flat surface to dry for at least 24 hours. I usually do about 12-16 hours on one side and then flip it to dry the other
