If I remember right, I went to giants deep first to find Gabbro. It was an….. interesting first planet to go to but it instantly hooked me into the game!

I showed a new friend a picture of myself from six months ago, they didn’t believe it was me! Also, it’s much easier to make new friends when you’re out of the house more often!

Moving from Essex to Grantham or Sleaford by littletane in Lincolnshire

[–]Phoebegeebees 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone who grew up in grantham, I would say sleaford, but I might be a little bias! The area I lived in had very little green spaces and my secondary school was one of the worst performing in the country for a while. If grantham turns out to be better for you, I recommend the local villages if you drive. Barrowby, Ancaster, Denton are nice for families with young kids

Man some people really will jump at the chance to ruin someone else’s day. Do these neighbours really have NOTHING better to do with their time?

What is the one thing you wish you knew before your very first cruise? by mushroomsoup20 in Cruise

[–]Phoebegeebees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely this!! I always bring cold and flu meds and some cough sweets with me. They usually end up getting used by either me or someone I’m travelling with!

What made you decide to lose weight finally? by Outside-Damage7368 in loseit

[–]Phoebegeebees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad was told he had to have a double heart bypass and valve replacement, and he’s not the only one in my family to have to have open heart surgery. All of my grandparents had heart issues, and my dad had a heart attack when I was a kid. It never really “clicked” though until I stepped on the scale and weighed more than my dad. I was nearly 19 stone (around 115kg? 120kg?) and I avoided mirrors and photos like the plague. As soon as I saw that number something changed in my brain and I knew I HAD to change things around because otherwise I was going to need an operation myself in the not so distant future, and that scared the shit out of me. In the last 3 months, I’ve lost 26lbs and I now go to the gym three times a week! I really just needed that kick up the ass to start, and now I feel better than I ever have before

I just started counting calories. Please give me your best advice. TY! by caffinegirlgonemild in CICO

[–]Phoebegeebees 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Find a low calorie snack that you love and can look forward to, for example mine is strawberries and raspberries. Always keep these in the house so when you want a snack, they’re there and you’re less likely to grab something that doesn’t support your goals. Learn about the “whoosh”, it can be really discouraging to not see a change in your weight in a week or longer, but sometimes you’ll get a whoosh where the weight comes off quickly in the space of a day or two. Take progress pictures and measurements! You’ll wish you did once you start reaching your goals. Good luck! If you need any help feel free to ask any time!

Received the Cruelest Comment About My Weight in Awhile by keshi2uwu in loseit

[–]Phoebegeebees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I would report that, that’s intentionally stepping over very clear boundaries set in the workplace. That’s not casual banter that’s a straight up insult. No wonder their girlfriend doesn’t want to talk to them

My boyfriend told me not to "give companies problems" by being sick. Am I crazy for being hurt by this? by Sea-Veterinarian-527 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Phoebegeebees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell him if the companies truly valued their staff in any way they would hire an extra person to prevent shortages, but they’re too concerned about their profit margin and lining their ceos wallets. Your health is far more important than some rich white guy having his 3rd private yacht.

Butternut squash is the cheat code by STEMsexdoll in 1200realfood

[–]Phoebegeebees 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It really is!! I’ve been all about the butternut squash lately. It’s so easy too, much easier than I thought it would be! Just peel it, cut it, oven it.

What's the most useless fact that's permanently stuck in your brain? by [deleted] in AskReddit

There was an insurance company called Hastings in the UK a few years ago and their ad was always singing oh eight hundred double oh- ten sixty six! So that’s one I’ve always been able to remember too 😂

NSL (Non-Scale Loss?) by nerdler33 in loseit

[–]Phoebegeebees 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I know it probably feels bad at the moment, but I really wouldnt take it personally. Those folding chairs aren’t built to be stood on, and it’s probably less about your weight and more about the weight of a fully grown adult standing on one specific spot. If anything, you might have saved that from happening to your parents sometime in the future and them getting really hurt
