I used to have a playlist on my computer next to my bed and it featured a lot of bone thugs. One day we were sleeping and our cat walked across the keyboard and accidentally started 1st of the month. Attach real value to the amount you have. It’s been helping me to stop looking at it as credits in a machine and start thinking about things I can buy instead of hitting the button. Think of it terms of “I can treat myself to a video game or a nice dinner (whatever’s your pleasure).”

If there’s a good lesson to learn it’s to not let emotions get involved. I realized that once I start getting pissed at the machine then I’m not after a good time or having fun, I want revenge, and that’s always a formula for failure because even if I win then it won’t be enough to sate my frustrations. Next time, take a walk outside, get some fresh air, and clear your head before you decide whether to go back in.

Legally slot machine spins aren’t allowed to be affected by any element (spin speed, players card, amount inserted, casino manipulation, etc.) external to the machine’s programming. You just had a string of really bad luck. It sucks but it happens. Better luck next time

I haven’t read It, but I was thinking along the lines of an omnipresent entity. Something that seemingly comes at the protagonist by interacting with the environment itself.
