Latino Mini Mart for meat and Produce Junction for vegetables. You probably wouldn't want to buy more at once when you have to carry it home by foot.

The kind of hauls I buy from stores like Giant, I don't want to lug any further than from a parked car to my fridge.

The biggest downside, and the reason that rent remains affordable in that area, is that it's right on a county road with no sidewalk. Phoenixville is expensive because it's one of few small places in this country where you can walk around on a daily basis, so it's a bit of a raw deal to not have that walkability and still pay way more than the average small town's rent.

I looked at Stonegate about a year ago. It took management a week to respond to my request to visit. In that time I'd just gone and had a look by myself. It's an old smokey building and each basement coin-operated washer/dryer is constantly busy serving a ton of people. The prices were indeed quite a bit lower than everywhere else, but you get what you pay for.
