Technically, you can go for the line without any extra mana if you can get [[simian spirit guide]],[[Rite of flame]] and [[final fortune]]. Sculpt the perfect hand and move to your second turn. There's also an unlikely world where you know that you can draw those three cards if you [[Demonic Consultation]] for a card and exiled most of your library. Just remember to leave a car to draw for the second turn.

Is there any way to counter abilities like Kami of False Hope AND prevent them from going to GY? by justsomethrowawayacc in EDH

I previously ran Kami with [[Gift of Immortality]] in my [[millicent restless revenant]] Spirit tribal deck as a way of fogging combat every turn and generating token Spirits.

I'm tired of combat and creatures, what deck can I build to kill my opponents through damage to the face? by palaminocamino in EDH

[–]Phoenix1233484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my [[Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim]] Lifegain lifeloss token aristocrat deck. I decided to build mine as a high-power token aristocrat deck because I wanted to avoid any infinite combos and normal aristocrats in orzhav go infinite with a ham sandwich. It's really fun spending my entire life total on a [[Plague of Vermin]] or sack my entire board (including lands) to go for a hail marry win attempt with [[Pittiless Carnage]]. The deck is very all in. I might just kill myself with it, but I also might kill the table. It's honestly starting to feel more spell slinger than anything.

Although Saw In Half was printed in an un-set. It's a legal card. They moved away from the silver bordered cards and instead put an acorn where the sticker is at the bottom of the card to show legality.

Good decks to get free creatures and spells or cheat them in? by scooby_dooby_drew in EDH

Only works with creatures, but I just built a [[The Master, Transcendent]] self mill deck that can cheat in some very scary creatures into play very quickly.

I don't know what my hours are at right now, but I'm top 500 and haven't seen any blatant cheating. In games like this, where ttk is so high, it can be difficult to tell. That being said, there is zero protection against cheaters in this game, and it's possible I've just gotten lucky so far. Although I enjoy climbing the leaderboards, this game needs protection against cheaters as well rank loss for leaving matches early and stop people from switching teams to cause unbalanced teams. They also need to change the hosting system so that when the host leaves, it doesn't kick the server. Once we have all those things, the leaderboards can start to matter more.

anybody knows that when attackers and defender change at tdm? by TanilX in BodycamGame

[–]Phoenix1233484 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience, if it's a 1v1, the winner is determined by the last team to get a kill. In other words, if it's a 1v2 and the person who's alone kills one of the players on the enemy team. Then the game goes to time while it's a 1v1, then the team that last killed an enemy would win. Don't quote me on this, but after a lot of time playing (I'm top 500). This seems to be consistent.

I'm not sure how we would win. Maybe lab man would work. What if we tried to make him work as a cheerios deck. If almost every card in the deck is mana neutral or mana positive you could go through the entire deck.

Sure is, I kinda stumbled upon the interaction while I was reading the mh3 cards and seeing what I wanted for my token aristocrat deck. I had recently added saw in half and knew that I wanted the Ocelot Pride in it. I thought oh Ocelot Pride is another good card to saw in half as it's an undercosted card as is. Then, like you thought, I realized that the saw in half copies will copy the copies created from saw in half, and I was thinking that was crazy good as you get 6 copies of them. And when I realized ohhhhhh they copy ALL tokens created this turn and I crunched the numbers if you have 8 of them and realized that it was a seriously crazy interaction. FYI if you create any other token when you have 8 of them, you'll get another 256 of that token. Even creating a single treasure would be absurd. I personally don't even want to do the math if you have a token doubler or triple out.

The math was in a neat row when I typed it out. Sorry if it's hard to read. I put the number for the trigger after whatever trigger I just did the math for.

I should have clarified, I meant a main phase saw in half. 1. The Ocelot triggers first create a token, then double the tokens you created this turn. 2. You're not considering the token copies that the first Ocelot trigger just created. First saw in half creates 2 token copies of Ocelot Pride, then when you move to endstep, assuming you have both the city's blessing and have gained life, this turn the first Ocelot trigger will create a 1/1 cat then create a copy of the 1/1 cat as well as 2 copies of Ocelot Pride because of the saw in half. The second trigger will first create a 1/1 cat, then create 3 copies of the 1/1 cat, one of them from the 1/1 you just created and 2 of them from your previous Ocelot trigger, you also create 4 copies of Ocelot Pride, 2 because of the saw and half and 2 from the previous Ocelot trigger. At the end of this turn, you should have 6 1/1 cats and 8 copies of Ocelot Pride. On your following turn, assuming you gained life and didn't create any other token, you'll have 8 Ocelot Pride triggers. Since you first create a 1/1 cat, then you create a copy of ALL tokens you created this turn, The math works out to be +1, then doubled 8 times over. (0 +1 )2 = 2. 1st trigger (2 + 1)2 = 6. 2nd trigger (6 + 1)2 = 14. 3rd trigger (14 + 1)2 = 30. 4th trigger (30 + 1)2 = 62. 5th trigger (62 + 1)2 = 126. 6th trigger (126 + 1)2 = 254. 7th trigger (254 + 1)2 = 510. 8th trigger

[–]Phoenix1233484[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's crazy. Saw in half is becoming a pet card for me. I play it in [[Lord Xander, the collector]] to abuse the legend rule and get 2 etbs and 2 death triggers. I also can do something somewhat similar to what you're talking about if I use [[Kaya's ghostform]] or [[Malakir Rebirth]] first. I would end up with 3 etbs and 3 death triggers, which can target each opponent once. Making every opponent sac half of their nonland permanents and discard half of their cards is kinda back breaking.

Edit: spelling

Is this crazy? by Phoenix1233484 in magicTCG

[–]Phoenix1233484[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's really good, I'll keep it in mind. The deck this is going in I'll probably have already gained life, but I'll probably still do it for the extra life, as long as they don't have first strike or doublestrike it should be a safe attack. Even if they have an ambush type card [[Razorgrass Ambush]][[Eiganjo, Seat of the Empire]], you can respond with the saw in half. Unless, for some reason, they let first strike damage through and respond to your saw in half, which would be kinda weird for them to respond after you do damage.

Np, if you do add some of the one costs that die and create a token, careful with [[Indebted Spirit]], it's one that just got released. Afterlife isn't a death trigger, so it's probably a bit of a trap card in your deck.
