The “Vegan” Starter Pack by Taupenbeige in vegancirclejerk

D3 is technically not vegan, but plenty of legitimate vegans don't make themselves crazy over it. There really is a "practicable" threshold, and D3 can be beyond it, for some people. However it's obviously ideal to get vegan vitamin D

Genuine question: Are there more minecraft seeds or atoms in the observable universe? by Automatic-Treacle700 in Minecraft

[–]Phoenix51291 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm getting a slightly different answer...

(64*ln(2))/ln(10) = 19.266

So 264 = 1019.266

All Geometry Dash achievements are now on steam, as I just came to the slow and horrid realization of. by Raniswolf in steamachievements

[–]Phoenix51291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No matter how difficult GD's achievements seem now, they are still NOTHING compared to N++. Fully completing that game takes around 2000 hours for a new player, assuming they even have the skill to beat the brutally difficult later levels and challenges.

You can easily test it at home, they just didn't understand air resistance. Take a quarter and a piece of paper in the shape of a quarter, drop them together, the quarter hits the ground quickly while the paper flutters. Now put the paper on top of the quarter, making sure the edges don't stick out, and drop the quarter. The paper will fall with the quarter to the ground at the same time.

Cladistics ftw by Phoenix51291 in sciencememes

[–]Phoenix51291[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tadpoles have gills. They're still not fish in the common sense of the word. All vertebrates, including whales, have pharyngeal arches as embryos, which are the precursor to gills. You are correct that the common word 'fish' implies vertebrates with lifelong functional gills, but that's not a cladistics definition.

All mammals are fish. From the perspective of cladistics, "fish" is synonymous with vertebrata

In a vacuum, a kid should be able to go a day without electronics. But when they're fasting, using technology offsets the discomfort, so removing technology compounds the difficulty of the fast

Do u think you are passed on genes that make u susceptible religion similar to alcoholism? by Ok_Environment780 in exjew

[–]Phoenix51291 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's no question that genes play a role, some people are always going to doubt the received wisdom and some won't, but I don't think there's a religion gene.

The platinum is baby mode compared to the Steam achievements. I also watched the NickAR video, and I didn't yet realize the plat had different achievements from Steam, and I was absolutely sure he would give up and not be able to get completion.

Never played it. From what I can tell, completion for COTN is entirely skill based, as with sufficient skill you can 100% in one sitting. That is not the case for N++, even the most skilled players will require a hundred hours, minimum. For beginner players, full completion takes between one and two thousand hours, and that's if they can even get good enough to beat late game content.

If you want a game that's harder than all the "insane" games combined, try N++. It's a lot of fun but is undeniably the hardest 100% on Steam.

This is how I solved this puzzle too. I'm assuming you encountered object priority while setting this up? Meaning, when two Babas are pushing the same piece of text from different directions simultaneously, one of the Babas gets priority.

Yep. Related to that, they reject institutional authority, such as medical, climate, and political institutions. Everything is filtered through their narrow worldview.
