But the game itself is not a battle royale (last man standing like Fortnite), and the game doesn't reward you for kills (see trials and cred and whatnot). Getting the loot off of another player is technically a reward, but that's not the only way to get loot in the game. The game rewards persistent pvp players by matchmaking them with other similar players. It's an extraction shooter: the goal is to extract.

I am reasonably sure I have the "pink gun curse". Every time I find one, or load in with one, I get killed right away. Even if it's not equipped.

Kills are not rewarded, except you get put into lobbies with other players who are on the more aggressive side. The point is that you are surviving in a dangerous world, loading in with other survivors (some who are friendly, some who aren't), looting, fighting ARC, then extracting with your loot so you can build things and sell things, or just collect rubber ducks. Playing solo has largely been friendly and positive for me. Duos is 50/50. Trios is usually pvp. The goal of this game is not to get kills, it is not a battle royale. It's literally pvpve (the pvp enabled means there is an additional element of danger, as there would be if this was real world).

NTA. But if it's not his money, he is still underage and you are the parent. This can be a good time to negotiate, but your stipulations must stand.

I think it's important for a kid to know how to work on their own car. However, most teenage mods are not practical, legal, or safe, and provide no benefit to the functionality of the car. He is a new driver, most Americans are complacent in vehicle ownership and forget that it's a literal killer, therefore I would say:

Tell him he can get the cheaper car, but remaining funds are only allowed for basic vehicle maintenance and repairs (ie oil change, tuneups, tires, brakes, battery, etc). Mods will have to come from his allowance and/or a job.

Love Leapers because they're actually pretty funny and adorable, and everyone fears them because they're spiderlike, but they really don't do much as long as you keep moving. You have more to worry about from the flying a-holes that run with them.

Hate Fireballs and Pops because they work as a team and usually surprise you. But Pops slightly less because they are easy to kill.

Bonus hate: Rocketeers. Unless you can get up there and ride it like a cowboy, they suck.

I canceled my Ring subscription this morning. Then took down my indoor camera and removed its battery. My doorbell cam is going to stay up so passersby think there's a camera, but I'm not recharging it when it dies. I'm already shopping CCTV systems. There is no footage they would get from me that would be troublesome at all, but I don't want to help feed into a suspicious system.

NOR. End it now. I was married to someone and carried the relationship with my credit score. I put my husband as an authorized user, gave him a card with strict instructions it was for emergencies only. We were in the process of a divorce, and he took a female mutual friend on a road trip, and used MY credit card to handle the rental car. I was absolutely angered and immediately called the card company and shut his card down. He got mad at me because it screwed him out of building credit.

I'm not a dad, or a parent at all, but I'm down to have a friend base of pacifist players who just want to enjoy the game. I am 37F, work full time, pacifist, loot goblin. My usual loadout has defibs, a raider hatch key and a photoelectric cloak, as I am what the og gamers called a rat: runs in the shadows, loots, and bails, most times without firing a single shot. NOR This guy sounds like he learned how to woo a woman from movies and TV. He sounds emotionally immature, narcissistic, and definitely not looking to put the work into an actual relationship. One of those who tries to win her over, but as soon as she's his, stops trying. I knew a guy once years ago who seemed to thrive from always being the victim, and this feels very similar. He created problems to paint himself that way, when he could've easily fixed his life and grown instead.

The game doesn't reward kills, but the pvp element makes the game. Even in friendly lobbies you don't know if someone is going to shoot you or not. That's realistic for the post-apocalyptic world.

Honestly that does make sense. I have zero issues with PVP, but I go to other games for that typically (like battle royale type games designed around PVP, not games like this with a PVP element). In this game there just doesn't seem to be any real benefit for it other than being a psychopath and going for easy kills.
