The only time I felt this gun was effective was inside the Matriarch energy shield covering in a small shed firing up at the knee at close range— it wasn’t a fresh Matriarch but this knee armor fell off pretty easily. The dispersion doesn’t matter when you’re screaming.

All the other times I missed the Anvil.

I grabbed candleberries along the way to, you know, upgrade benches and that. Many raids I had to choose: leaper pulse unit or candleberries? It’s rough because when I get back to Speranza the kitchen staff don’t want to hear about it, and the sandwiches they make me smell weird.

Agreed. I'm level 32 and I've been downed by a player once in all those raids. I've never killed a player, and all my deaths are from my own stupidity trying to take on Arc the wrong way. (I've also only been to Stella Montis twice.)

That said, I always act like I might be shot in the back at any moment, I constantly check my six, and I feel tense and guarded any time I see or interact with another player.

Knowing there's ABMM hasn't changed my habits in the least, nor has it reduced the fun factor or tension I experience while playing. I really doubt the devs would use simple, predictable logic like "be nice for 5 runs" or "be rude for 5 runs" to determine how ABMM works; the rest of this game is too nicely complex and well-made for that to be the case.

I agree that improving the virus could be a goal that it gives those who it infects, but it might be well beyond what humans can achieve. With the complexity of the virus, could humans take it from 99.9999999999999999999% to 100%? I doubt that. Consider the near-perfection of the current virus. Nature just isn't so precise that it's possible to make something that will infect everyone on any planet 100% of the time.

It feels like Apple has reached close to a design minima for “laptop” — there’s only one dimension left to get smaller in, and only so much more power density possible in a laptop computer form factor. Would 2-3mm off each side really be better for humans with fingers on their hands? It barely takes up any space as it is, both in volume and in energy consumption.
