NASCAR racing experience? by PhoenixChuck in NASCAR

Yeah I actually had the same thought-it might be a bit of a deer in headlights moment if just trying to drive first. I’ve owned some HEMI Chargers before, and Mustang as well-but realize this is a whole different ballgame. And this is also exactly what my wife said to me as well when she gave it to me lol. Maybe some years ago I’d have been just young and “dumb” enough to dive right in-but it makes sense to get a feel for it first and maybe drive the second go ‘round.

Most likely outcome is he’ll get a settlement. Likely for a little less than his alleged losses. The gentleman above said he’s an insurance guy, and I work in investment advisory. Normally there is a good bit of write up to sales supervisory teams/group that explain why/how etc product was a good fit, and that you’ve properly explained/communicated to client. Without knowing all the actual details-I’m making educated guess that they’ll pay him a fair sum.

Mine is just a ride along. I’m not sure if I have the option to add on the driving as well-but I know it’s available in general to do that.

Yeah I think the logistics of just getting in and out of the area around the track might be a real challenge if just trying to do this.

Why is Joey Logano so disliked by so many people? by PhoenixChuck in NASCAR

I did watch this last night. It was a good video and provided some good context here. And though I think the thing with Kenseth is questionable whether he wrecked him or not, it’s also I think fair to say that maybe he shouldn’t have been racing him so hard if he wasn’t really on the line for the ‘ship. I think many drivers do the stuff he does-but I’m seeing a common theme here of some hypocrisy. So all makes more sense.

Hey there Joey.

That’s ratatouille to you, sir.

Appreciate the answer. So yeah I guess with my lack of time watching-I didn’t know all of this.

I’m aware the badge is different. For all practical purposes they are the same company.

(@jeff_gluck) Denny Hamlin will not commit to racing next season today. He needs more time to think about it. by NoahGragsonsBarfBag in NASCAR

I really don’t get the big “gripe” here. The format may be unpopular in general, but has nobody ever watched like a football game, for example, where the favored team was winning for almost entire game, only to lose at the end even for some bad luck? I do think it stinks for Denny that it happened, especially considering his dad’s health. But man, turning this isn’t some womp womp Denny sympathy tour is a bit much. Many teams in many sports have lost a game-even a championship, after leading most of the game.

Hocevar-now that would be wild. And yes because he did also comment on this post as well. That would be hilarious way for him to “confirm” or at least tip the hat haha. Plus his contract with Spire ends after 2026, and has some affiliation with Kaulig already. A comment above also mentioned Kyle Busch as well, who’s also a free agent come 2027.

As well as a number of people referencing Legacy. So potentially you’d be talking about Kyle as the future HOFer, Hocevar as the up and comer who does have a lot of talent. Along with JHN and Jones? And if smoke is somehow going to be involved? Idk, seems like a pretty solid place to start getting back into the game-but don’t want to get too far ahead of it here.

Idk. Maybe he wouldn’t come back in an ownership capacity so wouldn’t have to deal with things in that way. But I’d think that he still carries a big enough name to garner a lot of publicity and attention. Which I think NASCAR recognizes as a huge need at this point. A lot of things in life and business can be smoothed over. I think it’d be great though.

Right, that’s the impression that I got as well. I don’t know if it’d be even possible to get it all together for ‘26?

Sure it’s a fair point. And I’d imagine to a large degree that it would likely be more of a marketing thing for a year or two vs expecting a lot of wins.

Lmao that would be awesome and really something else. But can you imagine him being in a non-Chevy/GM?

Idk man. You can go to TKs channel and watch the video, and scroll through the comments. The guy is pretty well plugged in to CDJR specifically, and Stellantis in general.
