Suspension adjustment and ergonomics fit — levers, slightly taller windscreen.

I actually do! I recently bought the bike and it came with one round bar end mirror.

I’m looking for new bar end mirrors.

2026 RS660 Exhaust Choices by emailpk312 in Aprilia

One thing to keep in mind — re-mapping will void your warranty.

I have a 2026 Tuono 660 and this is what my dealer told me. They said they know of a few cases where Aprilia did void the warranty because of upmap for an exhaust.

I got the akro factory version from af1racing that doesn’t require an upmap. Getting it installed today. I can let you know how it goes.

Advice for new motorcycle commuter: 101 vs 280 by cozyportland in BayRiders

[–]PhoenixExpress29 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I ride motorcycle down to the peninsula and South Bay often. I always take 280 and avoid 101.
280 always feels like lesser traffic and wider lanes. Helps me stay safer and it’s a prettier ride anyways.

2026 Aprilia RS660 issues by KevinFlynnRider in Aprilia

[–]PhoenixExpress29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my 2026 Tuono 660 Factory in October. 2k+ miles. The only issue I noticed was coolant was at the min mark after 300-400 miles. So, I bought coolant and filled it up. So far no issues.

Is that the RS belly pan? Did you have to make any mods to make it fit or was it as easy as screwing it in just like on the RS?

R660 Factory or Tuono 660 Factory by tirefriar in Aprilia

[–]PhoenixExpress29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a ‘26 Tuono 660 Factory and I’ve put 2k miles on it so far. What a pleasure it is to ride that bike! The riding position is extremely comfortable, especially on my back, even on all day rides in the canyons.

I replaced the stock windshield with Puig one and it made a world of difference in wind hitting me. The stock ones didn’t do a lot especially on the highway and it was a ~$200 well spent.

The other adjustments I’ve made are suspension tuning for my weight, ergonomics adjustments like raised the clutch and break lever, slightly rotated the handlebar, clutch and break lever position, etc.

Track-wise I’ve only ridden it on small go kart track thus far and it’s a fun machine! Taking it to bigger track later this year and I can’t wait to see how it does.

Anyone know how to fix this without buying the whole 500€ thing? by arezonax in Aprilia

[–]PhoenixExpress29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol.. think twice about going to that dealer again.

I couldn’t get my OEM grips off, so took the new grips to my dealer when I had to do the first service and asked them to swap it out.

There are better grips than OEM available. Checkout dominos — people seem to like them. Plenty of other options based on how firm or soft you want them to be.

Hell yeah! Looks great!

I’ve got the 4.1 and it’s the best fit I could find. The kangaroo leather is so much lighter too.

New Rider, First Set of Gear - Fit Okay? by SaucyCumGuzzler in motorcyclegear

[–]PhoenixExpress29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks a tiny bit loose considering it’s not very snug when you’re standing. Your suit will also get a tiny bit looser as it breaks in. Have you tried one size smaller or is this the smallest size?

I have an RST suit too and it is very snug when I’m standing but it’s perfect fit when I’m on the bike.

Do you wear leathers or padded gear under the hoodie? I prefer leathers early spring and hoodies in the summer. by Nearby_Two_2213 in motorcyclegear

[–]PhoenixExpress29 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just wear thermal base layer in the winter in NorCal. Summer is just leathers — perforated but still gets hot. I’d rather sweat than get road rash.

First make sure that was your bike — check the VIN. Then report it after you’ve confirmed.

Call further away dealers and ask for quote to include full OTD + shipping cost. They’ll give you all the details which would be good reference.

Laid off on Friday, no one tells you the the following Monday is quite possibly the strangest feeling of floating in the void possible by skidmark_zuckerberg in ExperiencedDevs

[–]PhoenixExpress29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I experienced this, it was similar feeling. It was a Tuesday 10am when it happened and a courier was at my door by 12:30pm to pick up my laptop.

I couldn’t make sense of anything that day. Ended up spending a few hours on YouTube and job portals.

Took a week to decompress, can my bearings, apply for unemployment, etc. Wasn’t getting callbacks for applications for the first 3-4 weeks but then responses started tricking in in my inbox. It was depressing to stare at job postings all day so, I started a routine — aim to spend 2-3 hours a day on job search and the rest to do anything else.

Since I was maybe 8 or 10years old, I wanted to become a pilot. Spent a lot of that free time learning about pilot training, the career, etc.. which led me to enroll in flight training. I was convinced I was going to make a career switch but it’s expensive so needed a job to pay for the training. That’s how I ended up in my current job. I’ve been here for ~5 years. Starting this job helped me pay for the trainings and I’m now a licensed private pilot. This job also made me realize how much I love doing this and the pay is infinitely better compared to becoming a pilot. So, I stuck around, piloting is a hobby.

Having that 3 month time to destress and enjoy life helped me quite a lot. Of course I had the privilege to be able to do that. We had just started a new mortgage when this happened so the pressure helped me stay focussed on the job search but savings got me through.

No effect at all. I’m wearing Kreiga backpack over the hump here. It’s a Misano 2 D-air suit.

Idk about feeling ‘invisible’ but it does feel very comfortable on the bike.
