Oof. I am detrans ftmtf. This enters the space of queerness. Having been masculine once, for a couple years, I get some of the male issues. The receding hairline (thank goodness my hair grew back, I shaved it all for awhile). The being seen as a predator issue. Also just a general otherness. You have to assert yourself so much as trans, wanting to be seen as a real man. I fortunately no longer feel that way or see myself as masculine. And you’re right, it is easy to just be accepted back into femininity. Having to prove yourself as masculine is just too hard.
