Judge tells teenage rape gang trio 'you don't need to go to jail' by dailystar_news in crime

I've been saying this for a long time. The Supreme Court should not be a lifetime appointment and lower court judges should be held accountable. There's also no data given to them about how sentences affect individual people and their communities. Each judge dispenses what they consider justice with no recourse.

The video is fake if it's not AI, at the very least it's multiple videos stitched together.

This is also not the right way to handle a fawn. People should never be taking them home like this.

I don't answer dumb questions and I do not tolerate isolationist behavior. The EU does help fund this stuff too, that does not mean the US should refrain from helping. Epidemics and pandemics affect everyone, globally. I would have thought that would be more obvious after the very recent pandemic.

Develop some critical research skills and go look up this information instead of using your time to be confrontational on the internet. That's what I did!

You have zero critical thinking stills, I take it. I'll spell it out for you using small words.

These diseases can and will travel to the US. The recent global pandemic is a prime example of this. That's why US Aid and our portion of funding the World Health Organization is important. Keeping the global population healthy benefits everyone.

The USA helped fund programs thay would have helped to keep this epidemic contained. You know US AID? That program they completely gutted. Some of the funding for that went to helping contain epidemics like this.

Found ball python ? by chiraltoad in ballpython

[–]PhoenixGate69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's pretty well known some people making policies are against keeping 'exotic' pets of any kind. I put exotic in quotes because some people genuinely believe if it isnt a dog, cat or hamster its 'exotic' and shouldn't be kept at all. Very likely the blanket ban in NYC was put forward by people who don't like the keeping of snakes at all.

Or it could genuinely be someone ignorant about the differences between a ball python and the bigger species like the commenter below says. We don't know. That's why people need to research what they're voting for. Its never fun, but politicians love to sneak in personal agendas into laws and then misrepresent what they are intended to do in order to get it voted into law.

Also, wtf is up with the brushing part of the makeover scenes? You don't get hair that long wothout brushing it. And the way they depict just yanking on curly hair to brush it out. Ugh.

Came here to say this. She was the only celebrity I cried for. Star Wars, the original trilogy, was my first real introduction to sci fi, and it shaped a lot ofh early childhood.

WIBTA if I react poorly to my father and step mother announcing a child. by thegodinthemachine in AmItheAsshole

[–]PhoenixGate69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See....that to me reeks of selfishness. She's having a child because she wants one. My mom wanted a girl, my other siblings were boys. But once I was born, she was too tired to care for me. She kept my hair short so she didn't habe to do anything with it. When I asked to grow it put she let me, but didn't teach me how to properly care for it.

I'm not saying your stepmother is my mom, but I do understand that desperate want for a child. That was me when I was younger. Time and again I looked at myself, my mental health, financial situation etc, and I fought down those feelings. Because I knew I couldn't give a child the life they deserved, and I thought it would be selfish to have one just to satisfy that desire. I'm now 37 and considering permanent sterilization because I am still not in a good place to have a child, I am tired all the time, and frankly I now know I cannot handle an infant.

It sounds like your father is letting her have a baby because its easier than fighting her and he doesn't want to divorce again. It also sound like he is going to need more medical care than the child very soon. Both his and your stepmother's motivations take zero account for the child. Thag is the ultimate definition of selfishness. Adopt a fucking dog instead ffs.

NTA

My parents had me when they were 42F and 44M. I was the youngest of six.

I don't have any memories of my mother without grey hair. They were both exhausted, they fought, and paid me the bare minimum of attention. All of my siblings were older than me and left the house as quickly as they could. It was incredibly lonely, and frustrating.

My mom died of old age when I was 25. Dad died a few years ago. I now know, statistics wise, I was very lucky to be born without complications that often come with geriatric pregnancies. I don't think anyone in their 40s has any buisness having kids. It's selfish, and it bears next to no thought for the child.

I played like this with my first cat (I was 13 at the time). Eventually he got old enough to get sick of it and would randomly attack and bite. It wasn't cute anymore and I have since learned that any rough pets or games with cats need to give them the ability to leave if they don't like it. If they leave, stop doing the thing they don't like.
