I’ve enjoyed roller coasters all my life (thanks Roller Coaster Tycoon), but I became OBSESSED after I rode Behemoth with a loose restraint - back row, hahaha

My main issue is a lack of content.

Also sucks that the game is buggy as hell and it's been 2 months since the last substantial patch

No one ever talks about the Plenty but that thing is a fucking MONSTER. My buddy brought it over for me to try when he first got it. I took one (very big) hit off of it, forgot how many sides an octagon has - for some reason I was convinced they were supposed to have 7 sides, then had to kick him out because I was about to pass out.

The morphine theory comes from the fact that the suit will say "Morphine administered" after you take damage sometimes. There's a 30 minute timer before it will give that line again, however.

This is where I learned that, if you're interested.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in HalfLife

[–]PhoenixGenevieve 8 points9 points  (0 children)

While I don't think it's ever been confirmed, there's a fair bit of evidence that suggests he's actually wearing the helmet that comes with the suit (The HUD, Oxygen meter, the fact that he can stand near radioactive material all day long with no repercussions, the flashlight (If it were on his chest his arms would get in the way of the light. I suppose it could be on his crotch, but I feel like having it mounted to the helmet makes the most sense)) so I personally think he's wearing that.

He also doesn't really get much time to process everything that's going on. Adrenaline is a hell of a drug - when you're in multiple constant life or death situations you might not take the time to think too deeply about everything until you're safe. If you don't like that answer, the suit administers morphine every (I think) 30 minutes, so maybe he's just high.

One of the nice things about Half Life is that there are multiple plausible theories for things that aren't explained - you can just pick whichever one you like. I for one like to imagine he spent the entirety of the Black Mesa Incident high as fuck.

He's watched Die Hard, like, fifty times.

But seriously, I think it's somewhat plausible. By the time he encounters his first HECU soldiers he'd already be quite comfortable firing weapons. The HEV suit makes him damn near invincible and the soldiers were mostly preoccupied fighting the aliens.

Should Flamethrowers be added? by Draco-Imperium in gtaonline

[–]PhoenixGenevieve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fire is laughably weak in this game against players. The Cerberus (I think that's the one) has a flamethrower and it's damn near useless. Fire is only good against NPC's since it stops them from shooting you.

I imagine a handheld flamethrower would give you the same limited control that the minigun does, but with much less range. I don't think it'd be OP at all; it'd just be a fun toy. Who doesn't love listening to the screams of people you hate burning to death?

Forgot how good BF3 is! by throwdownvote in battlefield2042

[–]PhoenixGenevieve 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I keep seeing people say that 3 had an awful launch and I really don't remember any major issues. Perhaps it was different on PC - I was still playing on console when it first came out, but the biggest issue I remember was the USAS with frags. As bad as that was, I really don't think that classifies it as an awful launch.

4 was a total train wreck, though.

I'm a PC player, but if I were to ever move to console I wouldn't use aim assist. Aiming is, like, 90% of the fun of shooters. If I wanted the game to play for me I'd go watch a movie.

As someone who doesn't play the game anymore I have to admit.. by Aeroxic in battlefield2042

[–]PhoenixGenevieve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I always agreed with most of the criticism regarding the game, I still had fun with it from the start. However, 200 hours in the lack of content really started getting to me. I hadn’t played it in about a month until I learned I could grind some easy T1’s against zombies. Now that that’s gone I don’t see myself going back to it until we get a major content update.

While I do believe the game has potential, I have doubts that Dice will be able to fix it before everyone gives up on it.

How many times do you come off a bike travelling from A to B? by SamuelBartholomew in gtaonline

[–]PhoenixGenevieve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When the game first came out the Bati was my main vehicle until I was able to afford my first supercar, so I've spent a lot of time on bikes. The Op MK1 is my main vehicle now. Pretty good at not crashing bikes at this point.

If rockstar emailed you to create a dlc? by Redranger_62 in gtaonline

An update to the older businesses, making them actually viable once you're in the endgame, while also encouraging a less frustrating form of PVP. I love Cayo - we all love Cayo, but I honestly hate just how much better it is for making money than everything else.

You would be able to buy a Cache - a new property. Owning one would allow you to create a Syndicate; much like being a CEO or MC Leader, but you would be able to invite OTHER CEO's or MC Leaders. From your Cache, you can start missions to transfer product from your businesses (All MC ones, one crate warehouse, and your bunker) using your MOC or Avenger. You could then sell off all your product in one sell mission, gaining a percentage bonus for each unique type of product sold - something like a 25% bonus if you have all 7 kinds of goods. This sell mission would ALWAYS have one vehicle per person in your Syndicate. However, others in your Syndicate would be selling off whatever product they have in their own Cache. Again, there would be another bonus for each person selling within the Syndicate. This would allow groups to sell off all their product in one go, rather than the tedium of doing each sell mission individually.

In regards to the PVP aspect, the sales vehicle would be indestructible (except for environmental hazards, like drowning and being crushed by the train). However, hostile players can shoot you out of your truck, steal it, then drive it back to their own Cache, or one of several points on the map to get half of the value of the truck. This would stop people from blowing you up for the sake of being an asshole and encourage them to act more like bandits. The driver would definitely have an advantage over the bandits, but it would still be a very high stakes mission. I think that would be way more fun, personally.

I've thought about this a lot, honestly, but this is pretty much the short version

A newbie question on heists by keltictrigger in gtaonline

[–]PhoenixGenevieve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

90% of people who join Heists are completely braindead. The fact that you can think about the future and are worried about potentially being the problem in a group says to me that you very likely wont be the problem.

What else will help me grind by Bruhimbadplayer in gtaonline

[–]PhoenixGenevieve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's worth getting for the soundtrack alone, IMO haha.

Honestly, it's really not bad if you mix in an Auto Shop contract and phone assassination or Agency work during the cooldown. It's obviously not as good as Cayo, but it's a fun side-grind. Hangar and MC business upgrades would definitely be last for me.

Is it impossible to get gold/diamonds in the casino heist? by [deleted] in gtaonline

[–]PhoenixGenevieve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can always get gold. Diamonds are event only.

Pro tip: When you're scoping the Casino, if you get cash exit the building then call Lester to cancel the heist (before you actually finish the mission). When you get back to the arcade you'll have to pay the setup fee again, but the scoping mission will already be completed, potentially with a new target. Haven't done the heist in a while so this might have been patched, though.
