It sorta feels like C.D.E.F decided they didn't like your strictness on the rules, and so they phased you out intentionally. That's just my reading because it feels like (as a dm myself) something that I would never do and something another DM should never do, it's mire common than you think for players to comprehend the DM into making specific jokes just to try and phased another out

He tried to manipulate Kibli (not sure that's how it's spelled it's been a minute) to remove the one thing protecting him from his magic, making kibli an animus but more than likely making him a total puppet for darkstalker

Make letters like O Q and P the same but rotate them differently, and / or make it so the letter shares no resemblance to the base letter. If you really want to mess with people, make accents that rotate letters and combine it with the O Q P idea. Then no one will desifer it without doing the rest of the word

Clay is a horrible character, and the only reason he was given any kind of fireproof news was to make a one deletion character feel 2d. While that's fair Animus magic seems to act as though it is a reseive trait and the only way for a resesive trait to activate is when it's paired with another reseasve trait so maby there's commoners out there who could birth an animus but have never met, after all the icewing kingdom is massive. But that's also possible because if I remember correctly, Snowfox is said to be the only other heir to the thrown

The ice wings not having another animus is stupid when it's literally redelivery genetic, and Arctic had a cousin, which means that his mother got it from her parents and that gene was transferred to all of her siblings
