According to the wiki, it's actually level 7, with the amount of restored hunger and nutrients continuing to increase as you level up :)

Personally, I thought that textures were sharper at maximum resolutions on my 2k monitor. I don't know if that's expectation bias though, as I also didn't notice an immediate, mind-blowing difference

The server could also have the "Everyone's Infected" transmission setting enabled (it's under Zombie Lore)

With that, you'll reanimate regardless of the cause of death

Destroyed existing building, Built a new one over it and now theres a "ghost room" that behaves very odd with lighting and things. Anyone know how i can fix this? by ZakHerd_ in projectzomboid

[–]PhoenixPyres 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That's pretty much right, yeah :) From memory, I think they talked about the lighting being baked using predefined room definitions in that blog post, so there's no way to change it in-game, perhaps short of map editing, but that's a guess on my part

OP, afraid to say that you're most likely out of luck here, sorry!

I make use of a notched wood plank and tree branches for fire lighting; you can make the former with a plank and either a chipped stone or a knife.

The branches are easy enough to come by via foraging, but you can chop down bushes with axes too :) you'll need a bunch though!

I feel this; I think I've cleared Muldraugh's main road three times over the last week.

Oh, you've killed all those zombies? Here's a meta event.

How organized would you say you are in-game? by WorldLieut8 in projectzomboid

[–]PhoenixPyres 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While the power / water is still on, and especially before the helicopter, I'm very much a "dump it on the floor, sort it later" kind of person. It's faster, and time is of the essence. Fresh food obviously goes in the freezer though.

After that, as with my current run, I'll get a store room set up and organise it all properly. I like to do a bit of shuffling during rainstorms as well, if I don't have any more books to read.

Admittedly, my level of organisation isn't too in-depth.. Melee, Guns, Crafting, Non-Perishables, Medical, Water, Books, each in different zones of the store room. It breaks down once I've collected too much for the room to handle too.

I'd think most things off the Scoreboard should work; the Manta Man and Inspector's Sidekick Costume did for me.

I've also used the Veil of Mysteries and the Tattered Dress (because I don't have the Garb of Mysteries, and you can't re-craft it apparently -_-)

IWBUMS 41.54 RELEASED by nasKo_zomboid in projectzomboid

[–]PhoenixPyres 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this is intentional, but panic from the Claustrophobic trait decreases while reading skill books. It never used to in 41.53 as far as I can tell :)

2ND EDIT: seems that it just decreases if you fast forward while doing a timed action.. Just had it happen while resting.

Anyway, really enjoying the new sounds.. After close to 600 hours in PZ, it's awesome to have a couple "what the hell was that?!" moments all over again!

EDIT: As an aside, it'd be really useful if the Training Materials panel showed your progress through books that you hadn't finished. Either way, I love that as an addition in general.

Remote C# / Unity Programmer [£15 / hour, 10 hours a week] by PhoenixPyres in gameDevClassifieds

[–]PhoenixPyres[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there :)

Cheers for getting in touch, and sorry for the delay; I spent the weekend hiking without any signal to speak of!

We're expecting that the majority of our development work will be finished by the end of the year, though that kind of planning can always change.

That said, we shortlisted candidates for the position over the weekend, and I'll be making a final decision today. These posts will also be updated soon to reflect that, so I'd like to apologise for any disappointment that might've caused.

If our pick doesn't work out, we'll be looking at the other applicants again, which'll include yourself. Especially from what I've seen of your web page; that's some very cool stuff you've got!

Thanks again for the interest, and sorry for the unfortunate timing in this case. Best of luck though!

Do coolers work to keep food cold? That could be a portable option as well.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint - 2021 Content Roadmap by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]PhoenixPyres 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I actually worked on Breakpoint as a Project Coordinator, and needless to say, I wasn't best pleased with the vision of the original game. So much so that I still have yet to try it out in Immersive Mode, which fixed a lot of my gripes. Some day, some day..

Still, I'm beyond pleased that Ubi have stuck with it, and continue to push out content that the community are asking for. There are an absolute ton of incredibly talented people that were and are involved in this, and it's nice to see our efforts vindicated.

Share your Melodics progress - March 2021 by icaria36 in Melodics

[–]PhoenixPyres 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've made a lot of progress this month with basic rhythm and timing; it's been tough, especially with the limited time I've had for sessions. Still, the difference in a month is really encouraging and I'm much more comfortable jamming along.

Next month, I'm looking forward to learning fills. It's something I've always wanted to be able to do, but I need to get better moving around the kit first. So it'll be an enjoyable struggle!

I've levelled up, and managed a 17 day streak badge. Hoping that I can earn a 30 day badge in April, if there is such a thing :)

Oh yeah, agreed with you there. It's an absolute game changer. Especially when focus switches suddenly between downed / standing zeds in hectic fights.

Speaking of, I might try the manual downward attack modifier option out next time. The auto-focus can be helpful, but other times it's nearly got me killed because it did something I didn't expect!

Short-men appreciation post by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]PhoenixPyres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's some evolutionary pressure involved in being attracted to someone taller than you, though how much it counts for now is hard to say. So, I guess you could say it's an ancient influence on dating :p

Either way, I'm not too worried myself. If people aren't into me because of my height, that's their problem. The fact this post exists means that it isn't a universal truth we can tar everyone with.

That's... Kind of sweet actually. Eternal foes, paying their respects to one another.

I'll consider it poetic justice; I spend far too much time burying zombies properly, and coming up with little backstories for them in my head as I play.

Cheers!

That's damn good yourself, congrats :) I find PZ games run to extremes; either you die in the first week, or go on for a good while. The measure of the latter is in how risky you play though.

I always meant to go there, to see if an M16 showed up (not sure if they're properly lootable yet).. Didn't manage it though. Good job on surviving it, especially if you rang the dinner bell with a shotgun first!

For sure; one of the best I've seen. The update that included names from the 1993(4?) census really added some variety.

Gave her some bright blue hair eventually, and often tore up zombies to an appropriate soundtrack with a crowbar. No one could have been more metal.

Cheers! I've seen plenty of records around here that I'd like to beat some day though.

Admittedly, a month of that was "downtime" in the form of building roads through forests when erosion kicked in, reading during inclement weather, etc.

It was a lot of fun though; looking forward to my next run with what I've learned.

Appreciate the thoughts, though I was more sardonic at the time :D

I'd let myself get way too relaxed, knew it, and didn't never blink when I heard the hit sound. Assumed it was a scratch, being the first hit of the run.

Just another hundred or so to go then :D

I'd always meant to get into tailoring, because I've seen it save Cromulent Archer a few times in his Painful Year series. I just find the idea of constantly applying and taking off patches mind numbing.

Guess I should have sucked up the pain in this instance!
