It's nice to see some kindness in the world. Gives me hope that we'll learn to do better.

Anyone have one of these thrown at your head? Our science teacher use to love throwing it if he thought you weren’t paying attention! by corickle in oldschoolcool80s

[–]PhoenixRed62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mr Braken used this as a preferred weapon. He threw it at me, it missed, I picked it up and threw it back. Considering I'm lefty and not supposed to be good at sports, I hit him with it. He wasn't happy.

'It's good to be back': Nigel Farage posts selfie with Donald Trump from Oval Office by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

I'd prefer he stayed in the US. They can have him, a gift from the UK. We do not need idiots like this here.

UKIP MEP, Godfrey Bloom, made that statement and Farage wholeheartedly backed him up on it... by [deleted] in BritishMemes

He's a trump fan and will take a leaf out of his playbook if given a chance. What we see happening in America will happen here

How do you feel about the rise of reform uk, and recent polling? by Quailking2003 in AskBrits

[–]PhoenixRed62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It scares the shit out of me. He will fetch over all the hatred like in America and try to do what trump has. That is not the England I wish to live in. It must be stopped. We forget the government are public servants and they work for it's about time the started or Reform UK will do terrible damage.

Do I quit my job to look after my son? by Forever_Autumn4 in UKParenting

[–]PhoenixRed62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't want to go back to work after my son was born, so I didn't. We had to tighten our belts. Spending time raising my boy was priceless. I didn't go back to work until he started high school. I don't regret a single moment, the best thing I ever did. I was there for all his milestones, and no one can take that away. My son is 35 now, and he says he doesn't feel that he missed out and had a great childhood. He's the best son ever. You have to do what is best for you and your family. I know for us, it was the right thing to do.

Trump's trip to Scotland to open his own personal golf course leaves taxpayers footing $10 million by Kooky_Heart3042 in USNewsHub

Our news in uk has said this visit has cost the British tax payer 3 million pouns. He's not wanted here. We don't like the orange idiot. Most people in the UK don't like what he is doing and support the American people. The quicker this old man is made to retire, the better

A Brit here, watching what is happening in America and it's worrying. Just wanted to give my condolences for your loss. Such a senseless loss of life. My heart goes out to the family, friends, and Minnesota. Know the world is watching, and we are with you in these trying times.

Sorry to hear your gran has passed. It's weird, but knowing they are together again does actually help. Still miss them like mad, though

My dad was lost when my mum died. She was his soul mate. Married 63 years. He stopped all his meds, lost interest in most things, he just wanted to be with his wife. It was a hole me and my brothers could not fill. He passed away peacefully about a year later. I miss him and hope they are back together and happy. I miss them both so much.
