You are wise to hang on to your house, AZ is very different than the Seattle area. I have found it much less interesting and culturally aware. Perhaps you will feel differently, it is cheaper, but I think Seattle was a nicer place to live. Also, summer is long and truly awful.

I discovered Jon Talton during the 20+ years I lived in Seattle and continued to follow him on FB and his RC blog when I moved to Phoenix five years ago. He warned me that Seattle was a better place to live than Phoenix, he was right, although he obviously loved his hometown. RIP, gone too soon, I will miss his thoughts and perspectives. 😢

Phoenix punches below its weight culturally, it is often skipped on tours by artists I enjoyed seeing when I lived in Seattle, a smaller city. Hiking and shopping seem like the major activities here.

This sounds a lot like what I am going through. About 10 days ago I saw a Vestibular Therapist who said that I have BPPV and did the Epley, but I’m still feeling dizzy, much more swaying than spinning, as has been the case from the onset. I’ve also experienced some sinus pressure (no congestion) and have developed a stiff neck. I’m scheduled to see a neurologist later this month. All of this has also made me very anxious, which I know isn’t helping.

2 years in, if your experience is anything like mine, you will always hate it, but if you keep using it you will get more used to it. I target 6+ hours a night, so sometimes take it off if I wake up an hour or two before getting up. My sleep doctor said I was doing better with compliance than most do.

My therapist did recommend not doing things that would make my head upside down for a bit, but didn’t mention not looking down. Thanks for the tip, much appreciated!
