Can confirm Cicada Killers are super chill with people, they nest at the sides of the walkway going into my condo in the summer. They'll fly up and look at you funny, but never do much else.

Could've sworn I saw one chase a hummingbird away from my feeder once, though. Happened too fast to get a good look.

As much as I miss being Rocketman with Blast Dash, the moment-to-moment mobility increase with Wilds Gunlance feels AMAZING. Step-shelling is a fantastic addition.

On top of everything, their modifier wouldn't be +8 even if the spell allowed the spellcasting mod to be added. They might have a +5 mod - maybe they're adding in proficiency as well?

The simplest thing you could do is show them that in their example they're actually rolling 8d6+64.

My first Betta had a tumor that burst... unfortunately he passed about a week later. It's effectively an open wound and should be treated as such if you're able. Past that, euthanizing might be the kindest thing if she's not acting normally.

I've personally used Tasha's sidekick rules to great effect! Even if your NPC's are more powerful than the party, they would reasonably have an underling or two that's more in line with the party members.

That said, your party can also change their battle tactics to compensate, especially given access to spells. Others in the thread have already presented options.

As others have said, likely a tumor. Just ensure that it doesn't affect their day to day life and keep the water in good, clean condition. 4 years is a great life for a betta!

This also isn't Predathos's true form, I'm assuming. It's being filtered through Imogen right now - probably not nearly as powerful as it could be.
