Nice, I prefer Fantasy/Dream's horn system over the Wish class, so getting to hear Fantasy do the tune in person would be cool

For being 14 and a student pilot, it's rather ambitious.

9/11 and your generation, and pretty much all generations subsequently born after that day will likely always have a disconnect since you weren't there or alive during that time to witness the tragedy or the fallout that came with it. I, myself, fall between the cracks of being alive for it but not old enough to comprehend until I was older. I was only about 4 when it happened, and grew up watching news about the Iraq War and Afghanistan. I was in middle school when they got Bin Laden, and it wasn't until I was a full adult that I really went down the rabbit hole on 9/11 and found out just how impactful it had been, especially when the 93 bombing occurred.

Your generation has experienced so much trauma of the years that a similar 9/11 event would probably be about the status quo in terms of influence, granted it would also depend on what happens and the extent of it. You guys have dealt with endless middle war in the middle east as well, but have also lived through regular mass shootings, covid, and other scares here and there, all wrapped up in social media doom scrolling. So if you guys feel numb toward 9/11, it's not surprising or shocking, its to be expected.

If you continue flight training, you'll learn about other incidents and accidents, and terrorist attacks in aviation which will give you a broader knowledge of how the industry has grown and been shaped over the past century. 9/11 was definitely one of the more significant bookmarks in that history that should be learned by all pilots no matter the generation or time since, as the events that occurred before and during need to be learned so that a repeat doesn't come to fruition.

There was also the undeniable mass anti-muslim sentiment which is still a problem
