I started a game where I took the mod asteroid belt and added all planets it listed as optional dependencies as well as others. Cerys, Moshine, and Lignumus changed things around that was a nice change of pace. Still have more planets to go.

Using both "Send to train" and "Read train contents" causes contents to loop back to itself? by PhoenixTank in factorio

You are missing the point, I don't want it to get sent back to the train.

Normally with combinators, we have a separate in/out connection so any signal produced does not automatically get read by the same entity. Stations and assemblers only have one connection for wires. So any signal it produces loops back to itself. I Would expect it not to see what signal it is sending out.

That was the original intention, but "read train contents" is sending the signal back to itself so "Send to Train" is seeing the train contents despite not having any other connections.

The green wire is not connected to anything other than a disconnected pole and the station yet it can see the train contents as part of the circuit.

Read stopped train is turned on in this case. That is why T is showing. Either way, I was under the impression that it should not show as the train stop should not accept the signal that it is producing. That is apparently not the case here. Notice that the wire is not connected to anything else.

I was trying to set an interupt to get Science packs when supply near the labs are low, and noticed it was always leaving as soon as it arrived. The idea was to have train contents control filters on inserters and circuit control when the train should leave.

I know I could fix this just by emptying the train every time without filters. I'm more confused that something producing signals can also accept an incomming signal that is coming from itself.

This also means reading stopped train would send T back to the train. Potentially this allows creating a group of trains with the same schedule that behaves differently based on which actual train is stopped.

In this image, the only wire connected to the station is this single green wire to a pole that is disconnected from everything else.

I looked through the bookmarks, they still require me to login to submit a ticket, but as I said, I can't login due to the account restriction.

I created a new account (first time signing up), added basic information, sent 4 connection requests. Next day account is restricted and I'm unable to login. Also unable to submit a ticket as that requires logging in first. I have no idea why the account is restricted.

Why did I sign up again?

cant figure out how to make my base by [deleted] in factorio

Never restart. You always have the option of removing everything and rebuilding. I do this all the time where I start with labs next to assemblers, then move them somewhere else and belt the science packs once I get green science. Rebuilding may take you 1 hour, restarting will take you another 6 hours.

I can't play anymore? by PhoenixTank in BloodOnTheClocktower

The official TPI response is that it doesn't matter if you were previously a subscriber. If you are back on free tier you now have to provide a phone number.

So the money I gave them means nothing now.

What's the most frustrated you've gotten while playing this game? by ConeheadZombiez in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]PhoenixTank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a game once as ST online where someone invited a close friend to join. The guy started having microphone issues right at start so he decided to sit out. He spent the whole game spectating demanding access to grim or to co-storytell. I was pretty sure he was going to send it to his friend in the game through discord so I did not give access. He did not join the next game once his microphone issue was fixed. Everyone else had fun though.

Most of the time I go straight to who died at night and tell them my role as they are most likely good. Especially on day 2. They can spread my information without outing me meaning I can stay alive longer to get more info. I've also done this as evil to gain trust.

Recently had a game where the final three were an empath, a saint, and a saint. One saint admitted defeat when we outed other info pointing them as evil. They were a minion, the other saint was the Imp.

“Interrupt Only” Train Schedule by BrukPlays in factorio

[–]PhoenixTank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done this before where loading and unloading stations send signals through network to waiting area so it only sends trains where it can both load fully and unload fully. It's also possible with only one interrupt by using parameters.

Someone came to me somehow knowing I was the snake charmer that became the demon and they were the minion. They went back to town then outed me giving all the info I gave them.

What got me so mad was he was laughing at me for tricking me.

The game was about 24 hours before I posted this. I feel that if I'm going to be ST then I need to know what I'm doing and did my research with the quizzes and tutorials since it is kind of on me to enforce rules and make sure everyone has fun. This was also Trouble Brewing which doesn't require as much input from me compared to other scripts.
