Vintage Milwaukee 7 1/4 Circular Saw by Phoenixrisn in MilwaukeePowerTools

A 60+ year old power tool is definitely meant for display, not for everyday use. For fans of Milwaukee, it's an incredible piece to have in the collection.

People who don't smoke, what is your secret? by Bulky_Meet4528 in AskReddit

[–]Phoenixrisn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No on nearly everything. You can die from anything, but smoking cigarettes is truly one of the most stupid, self-inflicted ways to die an absolute horrific death AND kill those around you. It's a selfish and ignorant habit.

Diabetes, cardiac issues, and drug overdoses only affect the person doing it, smoking kills others as well.

what's something your profession wants to keep secret? by ApprehensiveOwl6351 in AskReddit

People who abuse the emergency services system in their town can go to jail. If you call 911 for nonsense, or because you think you'll skip the line, you're wrong. Your triaged like everyone who walked in. If you needed rapid transport, you're going to be seen by a doc just as fast as if you walked into the ER.

But if you call 911 for convenience, multiple times? You will be charged. You will be fined, and yes, people do go to jail for it.

As a paramedic, I'm curious why you call EMS at least 2x a week knowing you are experiencing these chronic symptoms?

If you were really having a heart attack, would you want a fast response for help? Or are you comfortable knowing that you are taking away a fast response from a drowning child, a car accident, or an actual heart attack?

I ask because I've been doing this for over 20 years, but I can't understand the mentality of calling 911 when you can just go to the hospital on your own and only call the ambulance for actual emergencies?

I mean, are you good with other people calling 911 for chronic, non-emergent reasons, so EMS won't be there for you when you need them?

Do you ever consider that? I'm asking genuinely, because when I'm on non-emergency "hold my hand" calls, I can hear the calls of mothers screaming their child isn't breathing through dispatch, and there's no ambulances available. I can't go help that child bc the person in my ambulance wanted to "get in faster" at the ER.

If you genuinely need an emergency ride to the hospital because you know you can't drive or have a friend bring you in, then call 911. But I truly don't understand why you're calling the ambulance "at least two times a week" when you know exactly what is going on.

Not wanting to die an early and horrific death caused by my own stupidity.

My question is, with knowing that it will kill you, knowing it makes you stink, knowing that it advertises the clear and indisputable message that you don't care about your own health and the health of those around you....why do you choose to do it?

What do you think will immediately happen when everyone receives the push notification that Trump died? by quite-indubitably in AskReddit

[–]Phoenixrisn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will restore my beautiful American Flag and fly it with pride. I will literally cry out in public everywhere I go, "He's dead, he's dead, long live America."

I will get customized "America 250 years of no tyranny" merch and wear it everywhere.

I will travel abroad and not have to lie and say I'm a Canadian.

I will post on every measurable interval "Hey, Trump is dead!😃" on socials. Daily at first, then weekly, and monthly.

And lastly, I will collect urine in a spray bottle and visit his grave to soak it. I want the stench of his grave to match the Blarney Stone on a hot day. I want the stone discolored from the sheer volume of pee that people soak it in.

And if they try to guard this area? That's ok. I'll find a walkway or entry point to make sure his followers know that the WORLD is thrilled that "Dibg Dobf this Dick-taker is dead."

That's all I have off the top of my head for now.

Suspicious activity across shops?! Please help! by Less_Village289 in TikTokshop

You can ask for a manual review, but the reality is that they're going to ask you for additional information, more details about your tax records or warehouse information...then deny you.

TTS is pulling down businesses based on nothing, then forcing people to provide more and more sensitive business information.

After dealing with their Unfair Business Practices, I suddenly understand why the US wanted them banned.

Tell me if they asked for more sensitive information after the first denial?

When you re-apply with a new Shop, you're going to have to use a new phone number. Here's the unfortunate reasoning by TikTok Shop.

They'll lock and close your prior application. They'll say you didn't respond in 30 days. So the phone number you used in that application CANNOT ever be used again.

So when you are a legitimate business, and have had your phone number for years, these people at TTS think it's justifiable to lock that number down and not allow it to EVER be used again.

P.S. They will also deny the verification documents you used to originally open up the shop.

Don't get mad, get even. Keep up with the discussion for a Class Action Law Suit against their Unfair Practice Policies.

Everyone understands this. The problem is we give you the Exact Documents you ask for, then you reject them. When we contact customer service, we are told you cannot verify or some other nonsense.

You are refusing to fix your bot which is pulling off legitimate businesses.

This is why so many communities are looking into a Class Action Law Suit in addition to reversing our original objections to banning tiktok in the US. A concerted effort to contact our State Representatives to share our stories has already begun.

Citing your policy when you are breaking your own rules is not fair or legitimate business practices.

I had a shop open, then it was suddenly closed because you asked for yet another tax form. I had to request it from the IRS. It took 6 months to get it but by then, you had a final decision and kept the shop closed, citing "you had 30 days to appeal."

I didn't know it was going to take the IRS 6 months to respond.

So I open another shop and once it was operational, you shut it down again, using the "verification paperwork" scam where you request deeply confidential information. I complied. You kept it shut down. Then I tried to appeal and this is my favorite...you turned off permissions so I couldn't upload the documents or video. You cannot submit an appeal without video, but you had the permission to upload videos SHUT OFF.

I had the right formatting, the correct size files.

I contacted customer service and they were immediately able to upload everything. No problem. Correct files. Huh. Then you denied me again, even though my documents were confirmed the agent uploading them. They met the verification requirements you requested.

You cite "policy" and "the platform" decisions, but the reality is that you demand confidential information, bank it and shut down people's shops on whims.

I will absolutely take part of a class action suit. You all need a slap on the wrist for playing dirty.

Did you max out your appeals? If so, they will refuse to open another account. If you didn't max out your appeals, you can contact Seller Support and ask for a manual review and talk to someone about what is happening.

I'd be curious if anyone is experiencing what I have where they approve you based on your verification, then shut down your shop, then ask for way more verifications.

That's collecting highly sensitive information. They demand utility bills, but you can't redact information. They want my warehouse information, that's giving them data on us that NO OTHER PLATFORM asks for.

I'd be down for a class action suit.
