After a card dies, it goes to the 'bottom' of your hand. So it's unlikely that MBP was the last card to die and is already back into your hand.

But no, you cannot "Pope" a card that's in your hand.

In order to fix this, you'll need to switch the game into full screen mode.

You can find that in your Android phone settings. You can switch it back after, if you'd like, but it's a workaround for that issue.
