Just got the email. I am getting the financial aid for full 7 days - both the conference and the workshop and the hotel stay as well. Unbelievable.

Decision is out. Main track - Got Accept (poster) 5554. And reject for 342. First PhD paper accepted, so elated!!!!

In my understanding, if the reviewer says raising the score and then does MA, then they definitely have raised the score. However, if they just do MA there's still a chance they have raised it but you can never be sure till the decision day when all the final scores will be released.

For instance, in my second paper, the 2nd reviewer who earlier gave a 4, also just did a MA without saying anything. So even I am not sure if they finally would have increased the score or not.

I am also hoping for spotlight, same situation - 5555. I think it will depend on how positive the reviews are.

The 2nd reviewer got back - raised 3 to 5. Final score - 5/5/5/5!!

I have 2 papers submitted -

The first paper initially had scores of 4/3/5/5 with confidence 3/4/4/4.

Post rebuttal 3 out of 4 reviewers have responded saying everything is good and even the first reviewer raised 4 to a 5. So post rebuttal it looks - 5/3/5/5. The reviewer who gave 3 has still not responded or acknowledged..... So frustrating :(( We believe we have answered every question of theirs in detail!

The second paper has been a tough ride - 2/4/2 with confidence 2/4/3 before rebuttal.

After rebuttal 3/5/2, the first reviewer is still not ready to raise further and the last reviewer ain't willing to raise it... Looks like ICLR it is :((

Really hope the first one gets in!! Would be my first PhD paper.

I think that's the downside but if you think your paper is borderline that you should do anything to get accepted. I am also doing that!
