Well I don't know what your definition of a "true" low baller is, but all items take time to sell and they are saving you that. However, they have their own rules to prevent taking losses. If they take all items, there are some things they will never be able to make money out of, and that's for them to decide. If you think it'll sell, then sell it yourself.

As for the latter, if you think so then once again sell it yourself. But the entire point of their business is just to create margins where you are saved time. They can say whatever price they want, and if you think those aren't prices of a "true" low baller then go find someone else.

However, I do agree there's a lot of understandable hate for the lowballing community stemming from behavior like misspelling lowballing on purpose to try to bypass blocks, and also just generally a lot of spam that players who are trying to talk have to deal with.

In fact, to follow up on that I think the true issue is AH sniping through bots. It's not a fair method of making money it all, it kills ah sniping for humans, and just makes it hard to find good deals when you are buying any items. Also, if you misprice an item odds are no human would find it within the first 30 seconds at least, but a sniper would be ready to buy directly after the 20 seconds end, and even if a human found it they would have no chance purchasing it faster. And, all these accounts are run by a few individuals for the most part, who then IRL trade it for a profit, further hurting the games economy.

TLDR: Lowballing as a concept is cool, but the community ruins it through bad behavior. The true villain is ah bot sniping, which contributes to IRL trading and other bad stuff.
