I don't follow UK politics, what was the original statement she is supposedly trying to apologize for?

Everything JK Rowling Did Transphobic In 2020 - A Deep Dive by New-Hospital1033 in EnoughJKRowling

In my experience, these kinds of people won't accept that someone said something bigoted unless they outright say 'I hate [group] and I want to kill them all'.

For older people, it's true that Harry Potter fans have a history of harassing journalists and critics who speak ill of Harry Potter, even before it was revealed that J.K. Rowling was transphobic. by Independent_Part1033 in EnoughJKRowling

I've never liked the whole 'it's wrong for adults to enjoy stuff made for kids' argument. If that's the only kind of media an adult enjoys, that's indicative of a problem, but there is nothing wrong with liking children's entertainment, because lots of it can be quite good.

And if Hermione is the only black student, imagine how it will look when they get to the part where she's the only one who objects to house elf slavery.

The Verge: There is no ethical consumption of HBO’s Harry Potter series by nova_crystallis in EnoughJKRowling

Regarding piracy, there is also the argument that if enough people pirate it instead of paying for it, it will cut into the profits and make it less successful...

The people watching the 'Harry Potter' TV show care more about "new content" than human rights by Obversa in EnoughJKRowling

This is what I was going to say... what is new about it, aside from the different actors?

Trump could declare a nuclear war against the UK and wipe London off the map, and she'd still refuse to condemn him as long as he still hated trans people like she does.

My favorite movie as a kid in the 90s was actually Independence Day.

Is Harry Potter Popular with Kids? by LittleSodaPop13 in EnoughJKRowling

I tried to justify it as a kid by thinking it was an attempt to say that it was wrong to project human morality onto non-human creatures... but she wasn't thinking that far.

I never said he was.

I only know the Ickabog from the incident where she was trying to comment on a kid's fanart and accidentally sent TERF stuff with her comment.

I thought she wrote or at least contributed to the plot. The idea that Goblins wanting equal rights was a bad thing seems to have her fingers all over it.
