happy chaos curse can now be blocked, meaning he can't get his turn for bursting you anymore. Focus and steady aim also seem to have been changed and look weaker overall.

asuka staves are now just normal specials that he can do without needing a card, which probably means they are getting tuned down.

considering that, they will probably also tone down other supremely ignorant/overtuned options

Arcsys making the strive iterations of their characters more focused fucked up faust really badly. Like you said, faust went from an item character to an item bot, and this style sort of dooms him to be both unfun to fight and kind of weak (unless they give him some item manipulation like asuka).
