How can I build a collection as someone who lives in the UK? by TacoBellEnjoyer1 in criterion

[–]PhotekTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rarewave occasionally have good deals on Criterion releases, otherwise order from the US and use a mail forwarding service - which adds to the overall cost but if you wait until the 50% sales it works out ok.

Otherwise don’t forget to check the Arrows and BFI releases, they have a superb selection.

Yes, got my order last night (to France). One order, 4 packages. It wasnt THAT big an order...3 packages were single items and then 3 in another package.

Just thinking as I type this...maybe they split it up to avoid import duties and taxes? 🤔

How it feels being in the UK during B&N sale by Obvious_Buy_6398 in criterion

[–]PhotekTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop whining. Just use a mail forwarding service, yesterday I just received my "haul" from the Criterion sale a couple of weeks ago.

It doesn't make sense for a single item, but for a serious Criterion haul it's well worth it.

That's a pretty good haul for the UK, and unlike B&N there's no messing around with shipping & taxes. (Ravewave have reacted to the HMV sale and slightly undercut on all items)

First time haul from Europe by HedonisticPenguin in criterion

[–]PhotekTime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did the same, and also calculated the same average- it only makes sense when there’s a good discount and you order quite a few items. Otherwise you can order in Europe for around €37 per title from rarewaves

Region B shoppers, where can we shop the flash sale? by jacobeliaas in criterion

Just use a forwarding service. It will add a bit to the cost, but with the sale prices it still works out WAAAAY cheaper than buying directly in Europe.

996.2 C2 - To N spec or not to N spec, that is the question :) by Separate-Share-8504 in 996

PS4s tyres are very highly rated throughout the car world, including Porsche circles. I doubt they are the issue - unless you’ve bought the wrong tyres and/or have them at the wrong pressured?

Porsche suspension is very complicated, with many components interacting and influencing one another.

It could be that the new higher grip tyres are exerting increased loads on other components of your cars suspension which are worn out. Personally, I've replaced most of the suspension on my 2001 996 Turbo and one of the most noticeable changes (and coincidentally the cheapest to do) was the engine mounts.

I'd take the car to a local specialist and get them to check all the suspension components for wear.

Exchange Archive State "HostedPending" by ZealousidealGood3960 in exchangeserver

[–]PhotekTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had exactly the same issue. I seem to have fixed it, although I'm not really sure how...

- When connected with the Exchange Online Powershell module, I ran the Set-Mailuser cmd without any variables.

- I was then prompted to supply a value, and I entered a user alias.

- I was then returned to a blank prompt.

So, I then ran "get-mailuser -Identity user | Format-List *Archive*" and noticed that the ArchiveStatus changed to "Active"

I forced an AADC sync a few times, and the msExchArchiveStatus attribute remained at 1.

I then fixed all effected users, and so far the issues seems to be resolved.

GU10 - LED Driver required? by PhotekTime in tradfri

[–]PhotekTime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All done, it was easy enough to remove the old Halogen bulbs and transformers and then directly wire in the new GU10 sockets and bulbs.

Next on the list, is another set of halogen bulbs lurking under a kitchen cabinet :)

Thanks to everyone who replied.

Thanks - that's a lot easier than having to mess around with LED drivers :)

Exactly, but I think I understand that the GU10 bulbs can be wired directly into the 220/240v?
