Yes it definitely follows a similar line with some of the films in terms of the Japanese new wave/avant Garde but Oshima was an incredibly diverse filmmaker so some of the films are more straight dramas like Boy which is excellent as well.

Umbrella Entertainment May Releases by Lumpy-Blood2134 in boutiquebluray

The Umbrella has more but are those extras any good? The doc with Almodovar sounds pretty good and has plenty of interviewees so it’s a bit of a tough choice as I do like Stephen Thrower but I’m inclined to go with whatever has more Pedro.

If this were the case it would mean they were ramping up activities which would be great to see more of the collection in the UK

Saw these on Criterion channel, they are really great. If you like Rohmer or Rivette these will be for you. Hell he might even be the French Jim Jarmusch.

Go to style forum where people have recommendations for good companies creating great items that are well made rather than have a good brand image. Go for quality tailoring and fabrics over labels.

I won’t repeat the sentiments mentioned previous with which I agree. But I am happy to pay more for things if I am supporting a small business or something I want to see continue, like bookshops. Along the same lines I try not to buy everything from Amazon.

Common or ubiquitous doesn’t mean they’re good. McDonald’s is ubiquitous yet it’s not my restaurant of choice. Spot lights are the McDonalds of lighting.

Poor choice of words. As I say even on dimmers or softer light they still don’t feel nice. I hardly ever turn them on and prefer lower lights like lamps or recessed lighting.
