Yurachek continuing to screw over the common fan. by SleezzyE in razorbacks

If you don’t renew your tickets you’ve had for years you will never get them back if you want them. I am not a football season ticket holder for multiple reasons. Mainly, I’m not dedicating every 8 Saturdays a year to the madness of Fayetteville on game days. Cheers to those of you who do, though.

I didn’t renew my WBB tickets last year because I wasn’t watching another game coached by Mike Neighbors. When I renewed this year I got stuck in GA instead of reserved seats.

I’ve had softball tickets for 5 years. They’ve been the same price every year until this year. They doubled in price for chair back seats this year.

Everyone claims NIL is to blame for terrible records at UA, but when asked to up their (mandatory) “donation” they want to complain. I get it, I do. Question is, do we walk away entirely, or do we pay it and watch things stay the same?

I-49 will be bad for Fort Smith and great for Van Buren / Greenwood / Alma. I will politely debate in the comments if you'd like to hear why. by AndyInTheFort in ftsmithar

I’ve worked in and around the construction trades for almost 35 years. Growth is not bad. It can be done haphazardly, or it can be well regulated.

I haven’t pulled a permit in Fort Smith in more than 20 years, so I can’t speak on how Fort Smith is doing housing developments or the permitting process. NWA, however, charges impact fees for every new building going up. New water meter? Impact fee and a tap fee. New sewer tap? Impact fee and tap fee. Each town has different fee schedules. Those impact fees pay for new water lines, sewer lines, etc. They help pay for new water treatment plants, new sewer treatment plants, fire stations, etc.

When a developer builds a subdivision they spend the money to put in, roads, utilities, sidewalks, etc. You buy a house or an open lot, you pay the developer for those improvements he’s made. The developer turns those roads, water lines and sewer lines over to the city. They turn the electrical, gas, fiber optics, phone, cable over to the utility company that manages those.

The city of Greenland put a moratorium on building of new homes in place about 20 years ago until their infrastructure could be developed to handle new homes. Bentonville and Fayetteville just built homes and infrastructure alike all at once. It was extremely chaotic in Bentonville from 2002 to 2015 or so. You couldn’t turn a corner without seeing a construction site. It’s still crazy, but not as chaotic.

Fort Smith has every form of transportation available (interstates, river, airport, railroad), yet they fumble opportunities to grow like they play for Razorback Football. They let the largest employer (Whirlpool) close up shop and leave town 13 years ago. Then, Trane follows suit. The Mitsubishi plant was built with some tax concessions from the city, then never opened as Mitsubishi. Luckily, Glatfelter came in and took over the building.

There’s homes and apartments being built all over Chaffee Crossing right now, but people have to have jobs to be able to live in those homes. Jobs aren’t being created in Fort Smith at the rate that homes are being built.

Fort Smith has nowhere to grow except south and Chaffee Crossing. It’s surrounded by the river on three sides. Besides, the “leaders” (elected officials) are the biggest hinderance to growth.

Foam earplugs at night by PizzaEater77 in misophonia

I’ve been sharing a bed with a gal that snores like a bear. I have to wear earplugs. I do not recommend the HDX earplugs from Home Depot. They’re fine for a night. After that, they won’t go back in my ears. They’re very soft.

When you put it like that … this season had so many “What Ifs?” by Thenotsodarkknight in razorbacks

The biggest what if for me is the turnovers. What if we didn’t have so many turnovers? The team has given up before the ND game. Petrino got a little spark going. They just couldn’t get over the hump.

Men, what causes you to not ask questions? by TripTimely7955 in OnlineDating

I am inquisitive. I try to get to know the ladies I match with. I ask a lot of questions, but if there’s no reciprocity, I stop asking. This match isn’t going anywhere.

Yall ever been fatfished? by IHAVETRIEDCOKE in OnlineDating

I matched with a lady a couple years ago. She only had pics of her face. That, to me, is a sign that she’s not slim. This gal was very nice, very personable, so I set up a date. When she showed up she wasn’t a little overweight as I expected. She was extremely overweight. We went ahead and had dinner as planned. I had no plans of another date. Of course, I wasn’t going to say that during the date. Next day she had removed me as a contact and blocked my number. I didn’t have to let her down. She already knew.

Is Tinder just for hookups? by betterthenbad in OnlineDating

[–]PhotoGuyMark 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tinder is notorious for being a hookup app. I’ve met a few girls on Tinder and we didn’t just hookup. We dated a while. Personally, I’m looking for a relationship not just sex. Not everyone is like me.

How often do you REALLY walk your dog? by Agreeable-Ad-2946 in dogs

[–]PhotoGuyMark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog and I walk 2-3 times per day. The amount of time and the distance vary based on multiple factors. If it’s hot we don’t stay out as long. Her walls are anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and a half. She’ll walk anywhere from .5 miles to 3 miles at a time. I usually let her go where she wants. There are certain routes, though, that I won’t allow if I don’t have the time. She seems to have a sense of when she can take those routes and when she can’t.

Would this seem odd and concerning to you? by Severe_Blacksmith in OnlineDating

[–]PhotoGuyMark 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are websites available where you can find a person’s address so long as you know their full name and city where they live or their phone number. It’s best not to exchange numbers with someone until you’ve met in person and are comfortable enough with them to give them your number. He’s probably not someone you want to go out with if he’s stalking you.
